Do we Recognize what we Seek?

Do we Recognize what we Seek?

[My Offline Bible] Matthew  6
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Jesus Christ our Lord said we should seek first the kingdom and 'all these things' shall be added.

It is easy to identify whatever He meant by 'all these things' , it is the kingdom of God that's difficult to see.

That difficulty hasn't helped in turning our pursuits away from 'all these things' to pursuing the kingdom.

Even when we say we are pursuing the kingdom, the worrisome thing is that we may actually be seeking something else if we can't clearly identify what that is.

The law and the prophet had prophesied a new covenant and a new kingdom.

The new kingdom was prophesied to have a new law, not written on tablets of stones but on the tablet of blood washed fleshy hearts.

The new law won't be monitored by a human king, lawyers or judges but the Spirit of God deposited within every one.

In this new arrangement, sins and iniquities shall not remembered anymore having been forgiven.

The ultimate is that only the will of God shall be done! The combination of forgiveness of sin, a new heart of flesh, the written law on the table of the new heart and the working of the Spirit of God is to establish the will of God under the Lordship of Christ to establish the kingdom within whosoever would submit to the arrangement!

Jesus said, the law and the prophets were until John but since then the kingdom of God is preached and men pressed into it...Luke 16:16

Jesus taught us to pray that God's kingdom come and that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven!

Today, God's kingdom is come wherever and in whosoever the will of God is done through the new heart, the written laws on the heart and the Spirit of God received within,  as we wait for the eternal Kingdom of God where righteousness reigns!

It is easy to think that the kingdom of God is the church building we contribute money to execute: if that's the kingdom we seek which may not be even within the plan or will of God, then we seek the wrong thing!

If what we ultimately seek in doing whatever we do in the name of religion and religious activities are what to eat, drink, wear, earthly significance, achievements and recognition then we seek the wrong things and we have no right to expect any additions from the Lord seeking the very things He only planned to add...!

We can't seek our own kingdoms and empires under the cover of Christ and Christianity, where only our will, desires, visions and aspirations are done and expect the fullness of the power of God...

Jesus said clearly that people may prophesy in His name, do miracles in His name and cast out demons in His name and He would still reject them because they didn't do the will of His Father because they had worked iniquity!

We must recognize what we seek! If you call Him Lord, we must live in total subjection to His will to justify our calling Him Lord, that way, we seek His kingdom and His power which was meant to establish His will and kingdom will be activated on our behalf to add 'all these things' in His time....

I pray that God perfects us unto every good work to do His will working in us that which is well pleasing in His sight in Jesus mighty name!

Good morning! Seek the Kingdom daily nothing else!
