The Wisdom and the Power of God

The Wisdom and the Power of God

[My Offline Bible] 1 Corinthians 1
22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; 24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

I've been meditating on these two major attributes of God for a few days now. And its wonderful to me what I've been seeing. I hope it'll bless someone else too.

When God is in full control of a life or a situation, these attributes of God swing into operations to manage the destiny of the person or the situation on ground.
These attributes include the love of God and His benevolence, the wisdom of God or His omniscience, the power of God or His omnipotence and the exercise of His will or authoritative justice or sovereignty!

It won't produce any right result if we judge God in a situation or in a life or destiny that's totally submitted to Him from less than complete of His attributes.

If you see God only from His benevolent point of view, you'll expect that He won't be able to exercise His justice or will.
If He is judged from the position of His power, we may not expect much from His wisdom.

Jesus Christ is the embodiment of all of God's attributes. He is the revelation of His love, His will, His justice, His authority, His wisdom and His power!

Paul wrote to the Corinthians explaining the wisdom and the power of God and how some people would want to see His power and some other would want to see His wisdom, I'm sure some would want to see His love or other attributes but to us God has made Jesus Christ the express image of His personality and fullness...

Now how do these two interrelate, the wisdom and the power of God?
With God all things are possible. We also know that He is the God of all flesh to whom nothing is too difficult. He is the only potentate and He can do all things. Now if God breaks lose His power and began to do everything He has the power to do and undo, how would the result be?

That's where His wisdom steps in to arrange properly the operations of His power. Wisdom spoke forth in the book of proverbs, how he was there with God from the beginning. It was His wisdom that arranged His creations and established the processes that is called nature to maintain creation!

God's power is like a car's acceleration system, His wisdom is like the braking system. A vehicle might be able to accelerate to a speed of 240km/hr within a minute but the wisdom of the brakes tells it not to based on other information and factors present.

God can heal any disease, God can create another specie of race higher than man, God can do beyond our imagination can create but His wisdom won't let Him to the capacity of His power at all times!

God can make a poor man become the richest man in the world within 24hrs but He doesn't always do that...because you can sure have all the money overnight, but the experience and knowledge to manage it and make it a safe blessing and not a curse won't come overnight.

Is there something you have been expecting God to do, which you have faith for and you now have to wait beyond expectations? I'm sure God's wisdom is a factor keeping it from manifesting yet.

In the area of wisdom, the foolishness of God is still beyond our understanding. And in the area of power, the weakness of God is still stronger than us...

What is expected of us is that as we are always quick in exercising faith in God's power, we should also be quick in exercising faith in other attributes of God too and in His wisdom in particular within this context.

Just that God can, doesn't mean He will, and if He would, His wisdom will play its own role and His authority will establish it in it's proper place and time...and when God is done, we would see that all He has done, He did very well.

Whatever He does shall be forever, nothing can be added or subtracted and that always demand all of His attributes!

If we are fully dependent and trusting we can be sure He'll make all things beautiful in it's time!

Good morning folks!
