The Wisdom and the Power of God

The Wisdom and the Power of God

[My Offline Bible] 1 Corinthians 1
22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; 24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

I've been meditating on these two major attributes of God for a few days now. And its wonderful to me what I've been seeing. I hope it'll bless someone else too.

When God is in full control of a life or a situation, these attributes of God swing into operations to manage the destiny of the person or the situation on ground.
These attributes include the love of God and His benevolence, the wisdom of God or His omniscience, the power of God or His omnipotence and the exercise of His will or authoritative justice or sovereignty!

It won't produce any right result if we judge God in a situation or in a life or destiny that's totally submitted to Him from less than complete of His attributes.

If you see God only from His benevolent point of view, you'll expect that He won't be able to exercise His justice or will.
If He is judged from the position of His power, we may not expect much from His wisdom.

Jesus Christ is the embodiment of all of God's attributes. He is the revelation of His love, His will, His justice, His authority, His wisdom and His power!

Paul wrote to the Corinthians explaining the wisdom and the power of God and how some people would want to see His power and some other would want to see His wisdom, I'm sure some would want to see His love or other attributes but to us God has made Jesus Christ the express image of His personality and fullness...

Now how do these two interrelate, the wisdom and the power of God?
With God all things are possible. We also know that He is the God of all flesh to whom nothing is too difficult. He is the only potentate and He can do all things. Now if God breaks lose His power and began to do everything He has the power to do and undo, how would the result be?

That's where His wisdom steps in to arrange properly the operations of His power. Wisdom spoke forth in the book of proverbs, how he was there with God from the beginning. It was His wisdom that arranged His creations and established the processes that is called nature to maintain creation!

God's power is like a car's acceleration system, His wisdom is like the braking system. A vehicle might be able to accelerate to a speed of 240km/hr within a minute but the wisdom of the brakes tells it not to based on other information and factors present.

God can heal any disease, God can create another specie of race higher than man, God can do beyond our imagination can create but His wisdom won't let Him to the capacity of His power at all times!

God can make a poor man become the richest man in the world within 24hrs but He doesn't always do that...because you can sure have all the money overnight, but the experience and knowledge to manage it and make it a safe blessing and not a curse won't come overnight.

Is there something you have been expecting God to do, which you have faith for and you now have to wait beyond expectations? I'm sure God's wisdom is a factor keeping it from manifesting yet.

In the area of wisdom, the foolishness of God is still beyond our understanding. And in the area of power, the weakness of God is still stronger than us...

What is expected of us is that as we are always quick in exercising faith in God's power, we should also be quick in exercising faith in other attributes of God too and in His wisdom in particular within this context.

Just that God can, doesn't mean He will, and if He would, His wisdom will play its own role and His authority will establish it in it's proper place and time...and when God is done, we would see that all He has done, He did very well.

Whatever He does shall be forever, nothing can be added or subtracted and that always demand all of His attributes!

If we are fully dependent and trusting we can be sure He'll make all things beautiful in it's time!

Good morning folks!

Watch it! Don't Gather Death!

Watch it! Dont you Gather Death!

[My Offline Bible] 2 Kings 4
38 And Elisha came again to Gilgal: and there was a dearth in the land; and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him: and he said unto his servant, Set on the great pot, and seethe pottage for the sons of the prophets. 39 And one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered thereof wild gourds his lap full, and came and shred them into the pot of pottage: for they knew them not. 40 So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof.

Romans 8:26New King James Version (NKJV)

26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

The gregarious independent spirit of the present age, powerd by the non restrictive quest for money, fame, vainglory and satisfaction of every appetite and inordinate affections is gathering all sorts into the pot from where many of God's children are feeding from.

The dearth or famine in the days of Elisha had sent them gathering food from everywhere. Plants and fruits known and unknown were gathered once it looks edible and good for food, it is added to the list of groceries!

So someone got an unknown one and gathered it plenty, filling his laps with the mentality that plenty is always better and who knows, the lustful sense of competition would have made him feel accomplished having gathered more than any other...not knowing he had gathered death and that not just for himself alone but also for others.

It was while they were eating that the alarm sounded! They had just discovered death in the pot! Thank God for divine intervention, they all would have died by just a meal!

The moral of the story is simple. When driven by our appetites for fame, achievements, wealth, success and so on we must be careful of the unknown substances!

The conceited mentality that we can go by ourselves gathering all sorts may gather death unknowingly!

Our desires must be within the ordination of the Holy Spirit within the will of God otherwise they become inordinate affections contradictory to God and to His will.

The truth is that we know not what we should pray for as we ought to. We don't know what we should desire or aspire to as we should. That ignorance is what makes people gather all sorts of things they don't need and which may become liabilities and may eventually cause death.

But the Spirit of God helps us with this weakness so that through His intervention we might know what is in the heart of God for us and so we can enjoy the omnipotence of God to bring them to pass in our lives in their times.

But we don't want that! We always want to be responsible, we want to be in charge. Why should I depend on God since I already knew what I'm looking for? Everyone is doing something, why not me?

The sons of Issachar were needed back then, not so that they might show what Israel could do but to show what Israel ought to do per time through their understanding of the times.

When we go rogue gathering anything and everything our hands can take, we take problems alongside. When Israel insisted on Saul, God gave them Saul meanwhile He had David in store but his time was not yet. But between Saul and David, the land never knew peace: the feud between the house of Saul and the house of David took many lives and that's the same trouble Ishmael would eternally give Isaac.

We can seek things in the flesh and we can also seek in the Spirit. When we set out for our spiritual, physical, career or ministry satisfaction we must leave the flesh that deceives us that we can do it without God and seek by the Spirit instead. To be carnally or fleshly minded is death but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

The flesh is a dead end. It decays on arrival. Though it offers absolute freedom dependent only on us, but it has no fruit and has no future. Sowing into the flesh ends in corruption!

But when we invest in the Spirit, which may not give us that freedom to do what we want when we want it to get what we want, we soar on the Spirit's winds of love and we are carried to a sure place of peace and rest. Fruit comes out of it with seeds scattering all over to give assurance of a secure future and perpetuation!

Don't gather by your power and might, we do not know or recognize what we are gathering so that we don't gather death into the pot that may undermine our efforts and eventually bring death and decay.

But we can labor by the grace and the doors God opens. We can labor depending daily on the power and the leading of the Spirit. Without being lazy or slotful making the most of the opportunities and the grace upon us we can become all God wants us to be in righteousness and in all integrity.

With the Holy Spirit, we can't make mistakes, error only comes and that assuredly, when we drift to doing our own things without depending on the Spirit God has given us to know those things which have been freely given to us of God!

When we allow God to carry us, nothing and nobody can snatch us away from His hands...destination is assured! When we go on our own we go astray and may need Him leaving the ninety nine to come looking and searching for us...

Watch what you are gathering, don't gather death...let the all knowing God lead by His Spirit in our aspirations and everyone will be alright!

Peace to you and happy new week!

The Making of Babel

The Making of Babel

God built man so that man could make things happen on the earth. Man was made in the very image of God. Though man didn't create the world, he always wished he did and would go any length to proof that it wasn't God who did.

Man would have loved to be the one to create the world. He had always had this rebellion thing against God.

Man has extremely incredible ability to make things happen. In fact, on planet earth, He is a god and almost nothing is impossible to the force of his brain and brawn.

Very few challenges have rattled man for too long. In the pursuits of conquering the earth, he had spared nothing that had confronted him.

His advancement against sicknesses and diseases is on record, no sickness or disease no matter how deadly has survived against man. In technology and agriculture man has established his authority on the earth, in communications and transportation man kept conquering light years upon light years, transversing the universe as if taking a stroll in the neighborhood.

Man has truly made the most of what was inbuilt within him by his Creator at his creation.
It is written, ' [My Offline Bible] Genesis  1
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.'

So the blessing that was inbuilt in him to fill up the earth, subdue it, and to make him have dominion on the earth has truly been proven!

The problem however is in the rebellion that has infested man since the beginning. And that has been his shortcoming.

Man was not given the authority and ability to conquer himself with all the prowess and power that was bestowed upon him. God reserved that position for Himself. That's why man with all his achievements still has issues with himself. He wasn't given the power to conquer himself, no matter how he tries!

So we'll always have wars and war technologies will keep growing with military and security budget soaring and topping the shopping list of nations, yet peace won't come except the fake ones.

Man would want to conquer man in his rebellion against God.

Meanwhile, he won't be able to enjoy all his achievements if he remains unconquered! He needs to be at peace to enjoy what he has made but rebellion won't let him.

He can only conquer himself through submission to the authority of Him who created him. I hope he does in time! Otherwise, man is heading towards self-destruction and we are closer now than ever!

Christ offered man the reconciliation man needs to get back to God, settle with Him and have peace but man likes darkness more than light...he has tasted a bit of freedom and his imagination of what he can achieve without God in his rebellion drives him on. The possibilities are endless!

Meanwhile the ones who have embraced Christ too find it hard to also see the snare posed by achievements outside God.

Most of us Christians believe also that whatever man has achieved was by the essence of God. But we see clearly in Genesis 11 at the building of the tower, that man can make great things happen without God!

And this happens daily. Sin is an achievement that doesn't have respect for God. Man, out of rebellion, make sin happen daily. He contradicts the will of God and willingly boycotts God's plan in order to exercise his desires...

The mentality that whatever happens is caused by God is one of ignorance.
And this is the slippery point of the Christian walk. Being disciples of Christ presupposes that we have left every ambition for Christ and that there's nothing we'll do outside the commandment of Christ. But the spirit of man is hard to tame...the greed, selfishness and pride won't let him be, he wants the glory that comes from personal achievements; he desires to boast...and wouldn't mind abandoning Christ or using Him to achieve the boasts!

It isn't just about what we can do but about what we ought to do; it is about what God wants to do through us! Going by human abilities, possibilities are endless but in Christ we don't control what we do, Christ should!

When we subscribed to being disciples of Jesus, He became Lord over our lives, we become His body and He the Spirit and through us manifest what He desires on the earth...

But we still build babel! We operate from our own will. We see visions based only on possibilities of man ability to achieve and not minding what He wants. We still create things He knows nothing about and all that in His name...

So when the day of accountability comes, and many would give excuses based on what they did in His name...He'll deny them....saying He never knew them...to Him, they'd worked iniquity building Babel!

God's achievements through us is within the operations of grace; the empowerment that comes from within us, as a body possessed by Him to accomplish a kingdom on the earth where righteousness reigns!

The brains and the brawn of man, the intelligence and the determination of man, the wisdom and the hardwork of man can make incredible things happen but without God's control and dominion, man is mere rogue, building nothing more than Babel...and the project won't ever reach completion and satisfaction until God's intervention!

But in total submission to God and working with the grace provided in Christ, man can be all that God wants him to be, enjoying all God's provisions and being satisfied in contentment in the fullness of God!

Jesus said without Him we can do nothing meaning whatever we do without Him is futility and nothingness! If it looks like something today, it will be nothing tomorrow! Treasures laid outside Christ are laid for thieves, rots and moths! And they end up being nothing! But things done in Christ, by His grace and authority are eternal and won't pass with time! Such may be slow in building but sure through eternity! No wonder, He didn't send us to all the world to build empires and great organizations but to raise disciples for Christ, who would be conformed to the image of Christ, zealously doing the will of God from the heart and building the kingdom of God and not of man!

Don't build Babel! Build the Kingdom of God! Do His will with the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness! And your reward will be eternal which no man can take away!

Who's Responsible?

Who's Responsible?

The Lordship of Jesus and the concept of grace makes the buck of the believer's destiny to stop at the table of Christ, the Lord.

When you have left all like Peter, and your mother in law falls sick, it becomes the responsibility of the one you'd left all to, to heal your mother in law...just as Jesus did. He is responsible!

When you have left all, and you are hungry or in need of clothing, the responsibility has left you to the one you had left all to, to provide...to Him, a labourer is always worthy of His wages.

If you had left fishing to follow Jesus as Peter and his brother did, becoming the fisher of men isn't your responsibility anymore but that of Christ! He must see to it that you become the fishers of men He promised at all cost to Him. He wouldn't give excuses!

Walking with God and the patience that accompanies the journey sometimes cast the question in the mind; what about us who have left all? Just as Peter asked in Mark 10.

The inability to answer that question has left so many in despair, depression and frustration. Elijah got under the juniper tree running away from God out of frustration and had cried to God to kill him...why? Because he thought he wasn't better than his fathers...

He couldn't see anything successful out of his commitment to the ministry God committed into His hands. Yet, his was the most dramatic of the prophetic era of his generation!

Many are in such despair today. We are always tempted to judge ourselves and the success of our following Jesus fully, the same way the world judges success! And we will always be wrong if we fall for that temptation!

Many, in words or deeds, blame their inability to measure up to their success expectations on their submission to Christ. Many doubt their callings, and are ready to abandon it for other more promising ventures!

The question is, who determines success? From the day a person totally submits to the Lordship of Jesus, the responsibility of defining what success is to the person is no more in the hands of such a person but in the hands of the one who he submits to as Lord.

The pathway a disciple takes isn't his to decide. His prosperity and protection aren't his responsibility anymore but that of his Lord.

He can no longer judge or condemn himself of any personal failure. No one else cannot judge or condemn him of the outcome of his life...

Whatever comes out of his life is the responsibility of no one else but that of his Master.

If such is totally submitted with absolute faith and commitment to Jesus, he or she needs not worry as to where the journey will end; it is sure that the fisher men would become fishers of men!

To you who have left all for Jesus, you need not worry nor judge yourself as to the experiences different from expectations, be assured that the promise shall not fail!

Many out of despair have left the plough and have looked back because of the rigors of the journey, don't join them...Jesus said, they are not fit for the kingdom.

Don't say because you aren't driving the cars others are driving or living where others are living or being as popular as others or as honored....that you are being shortchanged! The one you follow knows what's good for each!

Do you blame yourself or regret taking the steps after Jesus? There's no regret in Christ, you have taken the best decision and have yielded to the greatest lover and the best caregiver ever and you and your destiny are secured in His hands!

Whatever comes out of a life yielded totally to Jesus Christ is either to His glory or to His shame... He takes total responsibility of whatever comes...but according to His nature of creation, He'll never leave a job uncompleted. And His work is never done until He sees that it is very good!

So leave off depression, pain and frustration, do not let despair take you away from your stronghold, for when you leave your firstlove in Christ, you become enslaved to your enemy, who would want you as a trophy won in a game!

Follow on with the Lord, You'll end up becoming what grace would make you...if you keep following Jesus...

Without Him we can do nothing, but we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. It is His strength that produces in us...without Him we can do nothing...we are all and only what He works out of our lives...

The final product may take some time, just wait and you'll see the salvation of the Lord...wait!

Good day to you!

Prayer, God's Will, and His Kingdom!

Prayer, God's will and His Kingdom!

Everybody prays. Yet, the disciples of Jesus still asked Him to teach them to pray. That means prayer is a subject to be learned. The effectiveness of prayer is dependent on the knowledge and understanding of the subject of prayer and the best teacher of such would be no one else but our chief intercessor and advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous.

The prayer scene today is quite scary. Checking through the pool of information and knowledge upon which prayer rolls today would reveal more of superstitions, ethnic and cultural traditions and myths much more than what Christ taught about prayer and I doubt if we can get holistic results from such aberrations.

One primary focus of prayer that Jesus taught is joining hands with God to establish His will on the earth.

The crucial point in the Lord's prayer is the prayer for the coming of God's kingdom through His will being done on the earth as it is in heaven. The other points aren't in variance with this, rather, they are mere elaboration of the main issue.

Once prayer shifts from seeking what God desires, it starts to fail the test of what Jesus Christ, our Lord taught!

Every prayer point must obey the law of God's will, desires and pleasure for it to be in line with what Jesus taught about prayer.

To expect God to release His power and authority to do what is not in consonance with His will is to sow seeds into disappointment! Such prayers only look answered through happenstance! Most times they bring nothing but disappointment!

Another important thing that we must learn from the Lord's prayer and the will of God is the need to pray before God's will is done here on earth. That's contrary to what majority believes; the majority erroneously believes that the world is in God's will by default. The Lord's prayer shows rather that outside of the original creations, God hardly does anything without someone asking Him to do so on earth even if that's in His will, at least since the days of John the Baptist, according to our Lord, Jesus Christ...Luke 16:16

If everything happening is God's will, there won't be sin! Because everything man does, good or bad would have been His responsibility!

If everything happening is God's will, then we won't need to ask Him again to do His will on earth as it is in heaven.

If everything happening is God's will without us having to pray for God's will, then His kingdom has come already and we won't need to wait for it, preach it or do anything about it...

But now we have to pray and invite His to send His kingdom where His will would ordinarily be done as it is in heaven.

Today, the kingdom of God on earth only dwell within the systems where the will of God is done. And man would have to permit that through prayer, faith, obedience and yielding to the Spirit of God.

Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. We cannot trust our independent desires that bother on selfishness, greed, inordinate affection, lusts, carnality, hatred and such earthly things to bring forth the Kingdom of God.

When such things power our prayers, we cannot expect the power of God to pay for that. The Kingdom of God is the primary concern of the power of God. The essence of God's power is to establish God's will on the earth.

The pursuit of God's kingdom on the earth must inform and trigger our desires for ourselves and for the people, places, periods and events around us and such should feed our prayer mentality! Such desires cannot be outside of God's will.

When we discover the will of God and take that to the place of prayer, we come on same page with God. We become partners with God instead of being at variance with Him. Our faith and confidence reach their heights and doubt becomes an impossibility. 1John 5:14&15

When we are sure that what we want is exactly what God wants for the same purposes for which God wants such, we only need to make the request and we can be sure we have the answer.

Then we won't have to try any hard to convince God to do what we are requesting. We won't need to cajole God to answer the prayers, we won't need to try to armtwist God to do anything.

But if we aren't content with what God desires for us and we want more or something else, we are already out of His budget and plans and we'll need to do all sorts to convince Him...and God isn't obliged to answer such prayers even if self abasement is done to the most extreme extent!

God cannot be bribed to raise another kingdom aside His own...if our will is what God does, then it's no more His kingdom but ours. If it is the devil's will that's done then it's no more His kingdom but that of Satan.

God's kingdom is His focus and the kingdom comes to us when we pray in line and actively do what pleases Him...

We only need to renew our minds with God's word and so make His will our own will, and His desires ours and make the kingdom of God our main focus of search so that whenever we go to the place of prayer, we can be sure of returning with the demonstrations of the power of God to satisfy our desires!

The Poor Wise Man: Understanding God's Rewards System

The Poor Wise Man: Understanding God's Rewards System

The way we interpret scriptures speaks volumes about us. We have literally blamed Lazarus for being poor and eulogizised the rich man for keeping his superiority complex as he spake to father Abraham even in hell where he is, as if his riches and superiority mentality were the reasons the parable was said or as if his 'success' attitudes got him a better deal than what whatever mentality Lazarus had or didn't have got him.

But that only showed what people put premium on. The veil covered the eyes from seeing that it's better in the long eternal run to be a Lazarus than to the rich man... when we clap for such revelations what we say is that we mind earthly things more than we mind eternal things...the result of such turning things upside down is not farfetched in our perverted world today.

We have heard also how God had ceased from helping man locate wives since Adam accused the wife God gave him to be the culprit in the saga of the eating of the forbidden fruit, thereby indirectly implicating God. They have said, since then, God has said whosoever finds a wife finds a good thing....interpreted as meaning, you should find independently of God and God will then give favor.  That's instead of the simple meaning offered which is finding a God ordained wife as a favor from God.
Since that interpretation entered into the pool of new revelations we have seen what happened to the rate of success in marriage since then even among God's people.

There are many other 'fresh revelations' that has plunged many into hurtful life experiences.

It was just yesterday a man of God brought out the issue of the son of the prophet in the days of Elisha who died with debts and his children were about to be taken by creditors into slavery. We have judged that man as a failure until I learnt from the man of God who showed us he left enough quantity of oil to be multiplied to pay up the debt. He showed us how Jesus, our Lord too had left us the oil of the Holy Spirit that's being multiplied to the blessing of the world today!

The discussion drifted into another issue in Ecclesiastes 9. The poor wise man who delivered a city from an invading king but was not remembered. That man has been used to illustrate how poverty deprives you of rewards.

Many have developed a warped view of God's faithfulness to rewarding His 'poor wise men' through that interpretation.

Does God reward only the rich wise servants? Does He forget those none influential messengers of His in favor of the big boys in the vineyard? Does He rate the voice of a messenger less than others?

God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. He is no respecter of persons, He accepts no man's person. Every man anywhere who fears Him and obeys Him is accepted of Him. God does not forget any man's labor of love.

The poor wise man is remembered till date. Lazarus is remembered till date, and everywhere the gospel is preached the woman who poured oil on the feet of Jesus would be reremembered.

In Mark 10, Peter asked our Lord Jesus what would be the rewards of them who had left all to follow Him...the answer was mind blowing! Spanning from earthly things to eternal things.

The issue is that God doesn't pay every month end. We may have to wait and wait almost unending almost to despair. But He has said in John 4 that he who reaps receives wages.

1Every obedience is recorded, every commitment is noted. Every message preached is noted, every administration of spiritual or physical service is recorded! And each has its reward.

Why? Because God isn't UNRIGHTEOUS to forget our work and labour of love. Hebrews 6. Meaning the reward system is tied to God's righteousness. If He fails to reward or forgets, then He becomes unrighteous and that is outrightly impossible! He will never forget!

The problem is that we look to man for recognition and reward and not to God. Yes, man is mostly the end receiver of our God inspired labor. Man gets blessed of our preaching and other spiritual efforts, man enjoys the gift of God in our lives and our commercial mentality tells us they should pay us. We see the honorarium as the payment and reward for our ministrations...and when we do, it is recorded as our reward.

God rewards! If He seems late, don't worry, keep investing, keep at it. The poor wise man may be forgotten by man but God will never forget!

Someday, the harvest will turn from mercy drops into showers of blessing!

You may have been working and it may seem no one is seeing it or cares, don't worry, your reward is sure! You are not forgotten!

Good morning!

No Distractions!

No Distractions!

Children have issues with distractions at the place of prayer, that is a general phenomenon we all agree to.

I asked my children and their cousins on a visit at a devotion, why we close our eyes when we pray when there's no direct scriptures that command us to do that.

The answer came in two formats, to avoid distractions and to honor God with our concentration.

I have realised that growing up doesn't remove distractions from us in the place of prayer.  Rather we are the ones who will find the virtues of concentration and solitude to develop it in our walk with God.

As I prepare to write this from the inspirations of God, a pastor, Dr Charles Stanley of First Baptist Church, Atlanta Georgia came on on Daystar television teaching on the benefits of solitude. What a confirmation of what God is saying to us today.
Jesus had said when we pray we should go into the secret place of our rooms to talk to our Father who is in secret who will reward us openly.
Our Lord Jesus Himself often separated from the crowd to speak with the Father...

Today, more than ever, we have so many things that distract us from concentration at the place of prayer and worship.

Psalms 26:3 says God will keep Him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him for he trusts in Him.

God wants our heart stayed riveted in Him and it seems the more concentration and attention we give to God, the stronger the relationship we have with Him. Real fellowship is of the heart and it requires a strong devotion and commitment to the process either with man or with God.

It is the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous that avails much, the Amplified Bible rendered that as the effectual heartfelt prayer of the righteous... the communication with God is of the heart and not only would the noise from without distract us, the vehicles, the people the blaring music and the noise coming from everywhere, including the churches around...

And those are even little compared to the distractions from a wandering mind, a bodily discomfort or comfort that even a perfect external quietness can't handle...

That's also different from the unending activities that can't permit a 10 minute per day absolute solitude with God...

The distraction that bothers the most is the one church services brings in worship and in prayer.

It is a distraction when our worship attitude and activities bring us into the physical and mental realms than taking us into the sanctuary of our hearts to worship and pray.

We shout outside rather than shout within. We concentrate on mental entertainment satisfaction than real connection with God, forgetting that the joy of the Lord doesn't necessarily come from good music, we want to be happy and dance and jump for gladness and that's wonderful in our gatherings but that must obey the rule of concentration without distraction towards God.

Jesus, our Lord once chided the religious leaders of His days when He reminded them of the prophecy of Isaiah the prophet, where God said these people draw near to me with their mouths and honor me with their lips but their hearts are far away...Mathew 15

Aside such distractions, is the church administrative and political distractions. Acts 6 shows us how Satan attempted to use the weapon of distraction to destroy the unity of the early church...

The Apostles had to tell themselves that the first thing to do was to identify exactly what the core purpose and activities must be and then build other activities around those. So they gave themselves first to prayer and to the ministry of the word instead of the distractions of serving food.

Today, we need also to isolate what matters and so learn to isolate ourselves to those things which focus us on God.

Today, as we go to church, we must know what really matters and what those things are which are there to only fill space.

We must avoid those non important issues that distract us from reaching God. Sometimes they look so legitimate and necessary but we must not forget that if we lose focus through much church business we rob ourselves of the presence of God and rob other believers of God by our own distractions!

I pray that God strips us of every activity of distraction, every issue that draws us back into the flesh, and every issue that takes our eyes away from the worship of God to the distractions of men.

It's time we cut off whatever or whosoever would bring distraction to our concentration on God...it's time we learn that our public and private devotions aren't about us but about reaching God... they aren't about building worldwide organizations, amassing wealth, creating influence or protecting self, our wealth or influence....these are distractions and pursuit of winds, futility and vanity!

As we go to church today, please face God's business and leave those other things that don't add to our fellowship with God. When you reach God, every other thing will fall in line in obedience to God who you have found!

Happy Sunday.

The Path of Righteousness

The Path of Righteousness

David, the sweet psalmist of Israel and a foremost messianic prophet both in living and in his poems wrote one of the greatest psalms in history, Psalm 23.

It is a poem inspired to describe the relationship of the sheep and the shepherd from the standpoint of the sheep.

And that's quite instructive: great leadership is hardly recognized by the leader or his leader colleagues but by followers who mostly are always at the receiving end of either a responsible leadership or a dysfunctional one!

However, the point today isn't about human leadership but the leadership of the Spirit. The Lord as my shepherd!

One main responsibility David recognized from 'following' ewes heavy with young is that of leadership. As a veteran shepherd, he knew a sheep can't do without the leadership of the shepherd in locating food supply, security and rest. In locating what brings well being and security for both the sheep and the shepherd, the sheep would need the presence of the shepherd and his leadership.

It is instructive that in an Old Testament era when righteousness was based on the deeds of the law, David could bore into the heart of God to pull out such a futuristic but fundamental pathway to holiness and righteousness. No wonder he was a man after God's heart!

Verses 2 and 3 speak of the Shepherd's leading. Just as He leads beside still waters away from trouble to rest, He also leads in the paths of righteousness unto holiness, though man would prefer the still waters to that of righteousness.

But the key here is that we'll need to be led into the paths of righteousness rather than to be ordered there.

No wonder, there hasn't been any law that could bring righteousness. Galatians 3:21

The law of Moses was given because of the hardness of the heart of man according to Our Lord Jesus, Matthew 19:8, and both prophets Ezekiel and Jeremiah prophesied concerning the removal of that stony heart to be replaced with a leadable heart of flesh to be powered into righteousness through the Spirit that will be put within man in a New Covenant! Ezekiel 11:19, 36:26

Through the law shall no man be justified and that not only the law of Moses but any law for that matter... because through the law is the knowledge of sin. Galatians 2:16, 3:11

The law was given, according to scriptures to shut every mouth and so that through it, the whole world might be guilty before God. Romans 3:19

Apostle Paul said God forbid that any law would stop the promises of God because if there was a law that has the capacity to bring life, righteousness would have come through the law....but now the righteousness that the law produces is the one likened to the filthy menstrual rags....the righteousness that is only established by the mouths of two or three witnesses among an unrighteous populace.

Jesus was crucified under that law and judged unrighteous by false witnesses who satisfied the dictates of that legal system. But we all know that the witness of men can't disprove God, who knows all things and sees all things, who tries the reins and weighs all actions!

Moses spoke of the circumcision of the heart even in giving the law establishing the circumcision of the flesh. He knew the problem of sin wasn't about the circumcision of the flesh but of the heart. Though he was handicapped and could only appeal to their consciences, it was equally impossible for a man to circumcise his own heart! Deuteronomy 10:16, 30:6

That's what Jesus referred to as being born again. You need a heart new birth to have a new heart circumcised of God to be able to see the kingdom of God. John 3:3-10

No law will do that for any man! No amount of treatment of the body will deal with an uncircumcised heart of stone.

In talking of being born again, Our Lord Jesus, spoke of the one born of the Spirit as one who is as malleable as the air. He said the wind blows wherever it goes, you hear the sound thereof but cannot tell where it goes or from where it comes.

The stiffneckedness that won't allow control of the horse or bull is gone, the hardened heart of stone that won't allow any feeling for righteousness is gone replaced with a fleshy touchable heart upon where God writes His laws so that man would not be taught by another what the law says. The spiritual loneliness of the heart of the sheep is gone, the loneliness that often permits him to stray is gone, now the Spirit of God is put within to lead and to quicken the sheep of God to live in the paths of righteousness.

The handwriting of ordinances that were contrary to us was nailed to the Cross of Christ because we don't need them again Colossians 2: 13&14, because if we can be led by the Spirit of God into righteousness we then need no law to attain to righteousness again. Galatians 5:18

The righteousness would need no law anymore only the sinner from within needs a law from without to keep him in check. The law, no law was made for the one who can discipline himself from within, no spiritual law is needed for one who is carried by the Spirit of God. 1Timothy 1:9

If we would decide to yield totally to the Spirit of God to lead us from within without seeking our own ways, He will constantly lead us in the path of righteousness.

God has given us His Spirit so that we can know those things that are freely given to us of God. He is in us to quicken our mortal bodies so that we won't luve after the flesh anymore but after the Spirit Romans 8:11&12, This is the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus that sets us free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:1-4

This is the New Creation that makes a malleable man easy to be led of God with His law written and inscribed upon the tablet of the heart!

If we through the spirit mortify the deeds of the flesh we shall have a life in the spirit Roman 8:13. If we walk in the spirit we would not fulfil the lust of the flesh: he that is led of the Spirit is not under the law... Galatians 5:16, 23
There is now no condemnation to the who in Christ walks not after the flesh but after the Spirit.

Let Christ be your Shepherd, let Him lead you in the path of righteousness for as many who seek to live above sin and be conformed to the image of Christ!

To as many who are ready to be totally yielded without any constraints to the Holy Spirit wherever He leads...

The Fire we Need!

The Fire we need!

Today, 'fire' is the super word in most Christian gatherings. And it is scripturally expected to be so.

It was fire that brought about the light we see...let there be light, the first command of creation brought fire!

Sacrifices are offered by fire.

God revealed Himself in the fire to Moses at his call and to the children of Israel on mount Sinai.

The shekina glory of the Holy of holies came from the fire between the cherubims.

Elijah demonstrated the God that answers by fire on mount Horeb, putting to shame the prophets of baal! Elijah the prophet of fire, demonstrated the ministry of fire in his life and in his rapture...riding the chariots of fire to heaven...

It was that fire that purged the tongue of Isaiah to renew His prophetic ministry in the year King Uzziah died.

John the Baptist, described the baptism of Jesus to be of fire and the Holy Ghost unlike the water baptism he did.

He spoke of the fire that would destroy the separated chaff from the threshing floor of God.

It was that fire the two disciples Jesus revealed Himself to after His resurrection on the way to Emmaus testified of, saying 'did our hearts not burn in us, as He spake with us on the way?'

On the day of Pentecost, the fire fell coming with power to witness with an instant manifestation in the ministry of apostle Peter.

Since then, that fire has been a major sustenance of the new righteousness and holiness of God after the new birth.

The baptism of fire that brought upon each one the cloven tongue of fire also brought about the power to witness to men and the new language to commune with God...

So it is expected that the fire remains both in our personal devotions and our public worship and fellowships.

But there has always been strange fires as the one kindled by some in the wilderness. A fire that supports the flesh and all it's lusts and covetousness, which many crave today!

That strange fire can be described as Emotional feelings in religious gyrations that afterwards is only sustained by worldly music channels, and other live party grooves until another religious gyration time in church with so called 'spiritual' displays in dissipation of futilities and vanities through all manners of superstitious fear-inducing spiritual gymnastics that hold watchers and patronizers in subtle deceit-induced bondage to the economic advantage of the host of the show to rob the deceived!

That's the fire most people seek...and nothing more...that's the strange fire that brings destruction!

But there is a purifying fire...the real fire of God! It inspires the soul and spirit,  edifies, comforts, and exalts the regenerated human spirit.  Brings total quickening by the Holy Spirit...and leave one basking in righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost in sincerity and in truth... this fire emits holiness and truthfulness having consumed sin, the works of the flesh and it's lusts...

The real fire burns the heart as the word goes out, the real fire expresses love fervently amongst the saints, the real fire births heartfelt prayers that connect the ladder from heaven with angels ascending with requests and descending with clear answers that need no panel beatings to be shared as testimonies to God's glory...

The real fire is what we need. This is the fire that wakes the spiritually dead and brings light to those who sit in darkness. This is the fire that consumes the enemies of God that defiles the temple....this is the fire we need!

This is the fire that must be whenever and wherever we gather, it must be there to burn off the flesh and release the Spirit, the fire to light our path and defend us as we journey in this wilderness of life to our home in heaven....

This is the fire we can't do without, the fire of truth and of the coming revivals!

We need the fire that draws us and all around us towards God without hypocrisy! Let's seek God for the fire...today!

Have a good day!

Preparation by Separation

Preparation by Separation

I had a disturbing but highly revealing dream overnight. God is inspiring me to warn the body as many as would take heed.

Strange spirits are invading the body as we draw nearer to the end of time and to the day of the Lord.

This isn't any new revelation. Apostle Paul had prophesied the perilous times coming and the basic characteristics of the errors that will come along. Many other ministers of God since then had also shouted it.

The believer must watch and pray so as not to be caught in the mix.
We have all it takes to survive and overcome within the promises and the nature we have partaken of from the Father and if we would take heed, we'll endure to the end and be saved.

The invasion of spirits of sexual perversion, religious spirits of pride, spirits of worldliness and carnality, spirit of greed and the spirit of religious deception.

The plan is to defile the temple as a prelude to the revelation of the man of sin, the abomination of desolation that'll sit at the holy place proclaiming itself as the only God and demanding worship. The man often referred to as the antiChrist.

The defilement will make sin look cheap, attractive and inconsequential even among the most respected and revered ministers of God both in orthodox and other churches and denominations. Sins and errors that were hitherto kept secret will become visible as the perpetrators become emboldened by those foul spirits of deception.

The Lord would have us deal with this by separation. We need to understand and be reminded of the sanctity of the temple of God.

We must not join them who defile the temple of God. We must defend the holiness of the temple.

We must remember that our bodies are the temple of God being members of the body of Christ the head. We must remember that whosoever shall defile the temple of God, He shall destroy. The Lord shall keep His temple clean!

We must not have fellowship with unfruitful works of darkness.
The fellowship between righteousness and unrighteousness must stop, the communion between light and darkness must cease. The temple of God must be cleaned of idols.

And for all such we might have indulged in, we must repent. The church from top to bottom must repent of all manners of sexual sins, sins of pride, and so on done in secret or in the open that have defiled the body, the temple of God.
2Corinthians 12:21

It is time each cleansed self  of every filthiness of the flesh and of the spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2Corinthians 7:1

God wants to dwell and walk among us so His fan is in His hand to thoroughly purge His floor and gather the wheat and burn the chaff with unquenchable fire.

Now is the time to separate from every defilement, be it lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes or the pride of life. We should take time to pray for as many that have been entangled by these spirits already, casting out such spirits and separate from anyone who isn't ready to repent and separate self. 1Corinthians 5:11

By the blood and the word, we can enjoy self cleansing from every regular sin and by the authority in the name of Jesus we can cast out the demons that may want to invade our righteousness and holiness. But in all, we must keep ourselves sanctified through spiritual separation as we prepare and wait for the coming of the Lord.

It isn't time to condone sin under any guise. Each must keep himself or herself pure. Purity is the direction we need to determine where to go and who to go with, we must not take chances!

Our passion for holiness and our hatred for sin must never wane: our faith in the victory we have over sin must remain strong and soon we shall look back and rejoice in our Lord!

Good morning.

Work verses Labour

Work Versus Labour

Its Monday morning, you can expect a mad rush in every metropolitan city all over the world. Man sets out to go heck out a living.

He has no one else to depend on including God but self. The arms of his flesh must be all he has to feed him. Out of his sweat he feeds until he returns to the earth from where he was brought.

His travail is wrapped in vanity. His mind having alienated God is filled with nothing but vanity, all his knowledge is for the vanities of life. A sister said sometime ago asking if the vanities of life are removed from a person's life what would be left? Most will have nothing left.

Apostle James said in chapter 4 of his epistle, verses 1-4...

He asked where our wars come from, and answered that they come from our lusts. We fight...all manners of market competitions, all manners of office bickerings and jealousy, all manners of evil maneuvering to pull those above down and to keep those under never to grow. The struggles to be above others on the pecking order, and to be above all on the corporate ladder...the fight to maintain position.

The weapons of war could be anything! Guns, sex, bribes, slander, blackmail, and so on...that's how it goes...

Yet we do not get just because we don't ask God. And when we ask God, we ask so that we can feed our greed, covetousness and excesses to win the competition!

But God doesn't feed our greed and lusts and so as much as people do all sorts to seek God to feed these demons, He remains far away, He won't be part of the competitions we put ourselves in.

This is labor! It is what the psalmist said, it is in vain to wake up early and sleep late, and eat the bread of sorrow since God gives His beloved even when he sleeps.

Labor began at the fall of man in the garden. Man lost purpose and had to sweat to sustain himself. The earth would not yield to man anymore, he will have to pay with his strength and his health daily till his death! Genesis 3.

But before then, he worked as God worked! He pursued the purpose of God creating him and God provided for him.

Work is pursuit of purpose. Labor is pursuit of sustenance.

Work gets God involved, God is our partner in the pursuit of purpose.

Labor is trying to do what God should do without his involvement and without His principles. Labor comes out of fear and it pushes to do anything to get by. Labor says the end justifies the means...

Work partners with God to get His purpose fulfilled. We are designed and equipped to work in pursuit of divine purpose and plans for the world.

And our sustenance as we pursue that purpose is guaranteed by faith in God.

Look around and see the providence of God, all provided to bring us to the place where we pursue His purpose.

But the selfishness in man won't let him think that the resources of the earth, the sun, air, energy and so on were put there for an ultimate purpose...they help us to achieve the reasons why God put us here...

God is responsible if we pursue purpose. He gives daily bread, provides security, and gives sound health...He knows we have need of these things...

So Jesus said, we need not worry how they come, instead we should come to him all of us laboring and are heavy laden, learn of Him and receive rest.

His own yoke is not like the yoke of labor, it is the yoke of work in pursuit of divine purpose and the yoke is easy!

His own burden isn't like the burden of labor, it is the burden of pursuit of purpose and this burden is light!

In the pursuit of His purpose we don't compete, we compliment!

In the pursuit of purpose there's no pecking order, we are yoke fellows!

In the pursuit of purpose we don't outwit each other, we are a team working together to achieve same purpose!

We seek the kingdom of God together both at the market place or in the church of the living God!

We need not cheat, or become corrupt in working with God behind that secular desk you sit, you need not cheat your customers in pursuit of the Kingdom of God...

It isn't your labor that sustains you but your God. You aren't working for any man or a corporate body but for God.

You are Christ's representative on that your 'secular' job and your pay comes from Him and not from your paycheck!

Take on the easy yoke, carry the light burden, seek the kingdom, share the love of Jesus, tell of His coming kingdom and put a smile on someone through what you do...

God will take responsibility of your sustenance and establish you in the garden He planted for you...

It isn't just about making money which can fly away, it is about pursuing the reason why you were made and seeking the kingdom with your potentials...

May God give us understanding!

Good Morning!

What's in Sin that we Defend?

What's in sin that we defend?

It has been on display in the shop of Christian doctrines for a long time now; that variant of the message of righteousness that's in Christ, that says once saved, no sin can make you unsaved even if you don't repent and ask for forgiveness of such sins.

The argument goes to and fro as ferociously and vociferously as it can be. I won't want to go into the merits of my convictions that such assertions aren't in line with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave His life for us so that He can redeem us from all iniquity and purify to Himself a peculiar people zealous of good works according to Titus 2:14, but I'll like to look at it from another ethical angle.

Why would I want God to do such a thing even for me? Why would I expect God to give me such a cover and license to sin since I've been washed and forgiven already?

While would I want God who is of a purer eye than to behold iniquity now endure my sins even after making such a sacrifice for the forgiveness of my sins?

Why would I want to continue incuring debts upon debts just because someone would always pay?

Why would I want to keep sinning even when I am no longer a debtor to the flesh to live after the flesh, not to mention the fact that to live after the flesh is death? Romans 8:12

Why would I need that kind of certificate of indulgence when I already have grace to live above sin...didn't the scriptures say sin shall not have dominion over me since I'm no longer under the law but but under grace? Romans 6:14

The scriptures says we should flee fornication or sexual immorality and that our bodies are the members of Christ and the temple of the Holy Spirit and whosoever would defile the temple of God, such shall God destroy, why would I defy such injunctions to defile the temple of God because He has saved me and nothing will unsave me?

I remember Apostle Paul speaking to Timothy that the foundation of the Lord stands sure with the inscription that THE LORD KNOWS THOSE WHO ARE HIS AND LET THOSE WHO NAME THE NAME OF CHRIST DEPART FROM INIQUITY!
So why would I still seek to keep sinning?

I have the righteousness of God, I am the righteousness of God, the righteousness of God is imputed to me, the righteousness of God is also imparted to me through the operations of the faith of God that makes me a partaker of the inheritance of divine nature and life as a joint heir with Christ...and to me, he who practices righteousness is righteous: the practice is the ultimate proof that I have and that I am the righteousness of God!

With the abundance of grace and the gifts of righteousness that I have received, I resist sin, the power of the duo moves my heart away from the iniquities I can't avoid seeing in my neighborhood even if it grieves my righteous heart...because it should!

The power of that grace and the gift of righteousness moves my feet away from the pathway to sexual sins. The gift of righteousness strengthens me to flee

The power of righteousness moves me away from the lofty heart of the proud. Where then is boasting when that righteousness that I am had made me not to look down on others nor make myself better than any.

The power of the gift of righteousness create contentment in me, why should I tell a lie or live in falsehood to get what's not due me or to get a protection God already gave me or get an accolade that can't make me better than who God has made me?

And when I drift and commit sin, I have an advocate before the Father who takes hold with me to receive forgiveness and cleansing for me in my repentance, confession and forsaking of my unrighteousness.

My nature is of righteousness and sin is like a stinking filthy rag to me. My righteous soul abhors it even in my bodily imperfections till I see Christ and become fully as He is.

So what's in sin to defend when Christ has overcome it for me? He hasn't even allowed me to resist sin unto blood yet!

Sin is a defeated foe. It has been condemned in the flesh by Christ and we have no reason to seek any indulgence or defend our negative experiences through any distortion of scriptures to suit personal fleshly purposes.

Temptations will come, we must resist or endure them till they lose their strength but we don't have to fall but if we fall...the responsible thing for us to do is to confess them to the Lord, He is faithful and just to forgive and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness!

If it has become a habit that's difficult to deal with, seek help and support from credible, knowledgeable and faithful Christian friends...together we can overcome anything! We don't have need of any certificate of indulgence to cover our sins...

God's blessings!

Let's share God's Word together without holding back to our general edification!

It's a good day!

Someone is Thinking Well of You

Someone is Thinking Well of You

David the psalmist asked God, 'what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you visit him'.
That question points to the fact that God has us in mind and thinks well of us. I'm sure none of us can escape His thoughts. Not only does He deals with each of us as an entity, He is mindful of us to the most minute details of our lives and destiny.

Psalm 139 is a classic on this aspect of God in His relationship and dealings with us. That attribute of His that makes Him to so concern Himself with details concerning us in our billions and to care for us is one of those that makes Him the omnipotent God that He is.

Man can hardly fit in into such mould. Hardly can we describe any man to be such concerning another. Man doesn't have the mental capacity or the moral disposition to follow such details and to be ready to care that much except such has broken the frontier of humanity to divinity as one who has matured to the point of freely expressing the new man within created in the image and likeness of God.

Even when the details of needs are obvious and utmost weakness is revealed, man would still fall to his base selfish nature; a suckling mother can still forget her suckling child, the possibility is always there. It is a moral dip that man carries in his fallen state.

Even the best intentioned amongst men still forget and only remember when their negligence may have caused lots of harm.

In our negligence we still suffer from that moral dip from each other. We forget others we shouldn't, and others too forget us both deliberately or not. Sometimes the care we show are laden with all sorts of negative emotions; sometimes we feel it as a heavy burden and unnecessary disturbance; at other times and on to the other extreme, it makes us feel as if we are God, who provides all to the ones we care about, and so be accorded the worth.

That makes many unable to either ask for or receive help from people. It might cost more than what you gain. And so we can hardly trust any good being done to us even from the most sincere of hearts.

But within this complexity of man, there is still someone somewhere aside God but influenced by God who thinks well of you. Someone you may not know and someone you may not expect anything of such from.

2Kings 4:8-10 shows such a case. Elisha would pass by the Shunammite woman's house without knowing that the woman was watching. Then one day she compelled him to come in and eat. Later, she spoke to her husband and they built him a house without any strings attached. Even when Elisha discovered she was without a child, she was reluctant about receiving such a favor from the man of God.

The same with Jesus, with the array of His secret admirers and night visiting disciples.

That God is mindful of you is a sign that His secret agents are mindful of you too. It may look as if no one cares about you, it may look as if even those who showed some care would take a pound of your flesh in return, amidst all of such people, there is someone thinking well of you and such would 'strike' very soon releasing the refreshing juice of the inner and deep-seated love and care...

I'm sure that at your time of greatest need and confusion God is there and He has His people around to manifest.

In the time of greatest denigration God is there to bring honor beyond expectations!

In the time of greatest rejection and emotional pain a hand of love and a warm sincere embrace is outstretched towards you.

God is mindful of you and a 'shunammite woman' is waiting to execute God's plan beyond your consciousness and imagination!

When the disciples faced such a storm, Jesus broke all the laws of nature, walked on the roaring sea to save them...if it'll take every law to be broken, God and His agents will reach you...just believe and wait!

When all is gone... remember there's still someone lurking in the corner watching from far to do you good!

The particular person you may not know...but because God cares and would carry your burden without being stressed, He has prepared a raven and/or a widow woman as in the case of Elijah, or a shunammite woman as in the case of Elisha, a ravenous bird from a far country as in the case of Isaiah (Is 46) to come to you to execute his good counsel of care in your life. So treat all well!

Think about it!

Good morning!

America Gone Gay: Who is on the Lord's Side

America Gone Gay: Who is on the Lord's Side?

It has become clear now that God Himself is separating His kingdom from the kingdom of the world.

Now, the question is, who is on the Lord's side?

God is putting back the great dividing gulf to differentiate those who serve Him and those who serve Him not. The gulf between Lazarus and the rich man...

When we thought the grey area is enlarging, the work of the flesh and of darkness is being made manifest... and the black is separating from the white not as in racial coloration but in obedience and disobedience to the word of God.

The kingdom of Christ is not of this world, therefore physical or political fight wont work. Politics cannot bring forth the rulership of God. Democracy won't tilt away from the stand of worldliness. The people on the broadway to destruction will always win in a democracy against those on the strait road. It is a game of number played on the board of convenience!

Now our churches have gone to register with the governments and so are bound by these laws because we want to be congregational...we no more believe in 'where two or three are gathered in His name...' , now we only believe in the mega churches and if you'll do mega, you must register and succumb to their laws even if it is against your God and His word...I don't know if there's a clause in any constitution of the so called Christian countries that says 'when the constitution clashes with the Bible, the words of the Bible should be superior'

So here we are. Christian, it is now your choice to make. Will you stick to your God or succumb to the antiChrist?

Will you stand to be persecuted for what you believe as the truth in a land called God's own country or will you buckle in the face of segregation?

Who is on the Lord's side?

Here is the big gulf and on who's side will you fall to?

If you haven't ever experienced segregation before, then get ready. The world would know now, who those are who truly believe in God....

Will they see you as a believer? This is a precursor to the mark of the beast...

Christian, get ready!

In all, now is the time to go back and check exactly what we are sent to believe. We need to know what we believed in and have practiced that has made us so vulnerable to the wiles of the devil.

For instance, a lot of believers hailed the US supreme court ruling on Obamacare supporting abortion and so on...not knowing that what goes round comes round...

We believe in convenient Christianity, and that has colored all we preach and teach. It has colored our perspectives to God's word to the point of believing that if it is convenient, it is God and if it isn't, it is of the devil. We sort of believe that our defense of the truth must not demand being persecuted...we believe the days of persecution are gone and so we don't need miraculous interventions...governments will do the rest.
The populist prosperity preaching is what we believe now. But can Christianity survive on that diet?

I see a mass falling away coming!

But we are not of them who draw back into perdition but of them who believe to the saving of the soul! At all cost!

Good morning folks!

A Case for Pre-marital Abstinence

A case for pre-marital Abstinence

Societies all over the world are evolving. More and more, marriage is being seen as an unnecessary union. The questions is What's wrong with two people living together as friends without getting married and sleeping with each other? Why commit to a particular person for life? To others, why should it be a commitment to an opposite sex, when you can get some sort of sexual satisfaction through a person of same gender? And such don't mind seeking marital status to gain certain economic benefits in nations where benefits were already attached to regular, God ordained and nature supporting heterosexual marriage.

Even in once very conservative societies like Nigeria and other African countries, sex is being demystified. It is fast becoming free for all, separated from marriage, which is fast becoming nothing beyond the social events and the 'effizes' surrounding the wedding; while the vows and the commitments to each other are tucked away amidst the jungle of events and made to be as brief as possible. That isn't the main issue anymore.

With marriage losing is honor, so society is losing its too.

You'll expect difference among Christians who have a holy writ to follow....but it is isn't so. The same trend is eating away into the very moral fabric of the church like a bad worm.

My friend and brother, a pastor, called me yesterday sharing a burden on the deplorable state of morality amongst so called Christians. How something should be done about it...

And just this morning, I read a post on facebook saying God hasn't created someone who will wait for his or her spouse till marriage before having sex...

Sex outside marriage is being trivialized to the detriment of society because it is attached to many other values.

Marriage is being made too high to be attained through wedding expenses and it's gradually becoming an achievement to wed...without such deterrents against premarital sex and so it looks as if it is marriage that is unnecessary.

To the facebook post and some comments that followed from those who look religious, I had this reply which I feel is worth considering by all.

Maybe if we starts putting forth reasons and making people see the harm we collectively suffer through the culture that don't mind or have respect for others in our society, we can salvage some morals and decorum!

My reply comment goes thus:

"Unfortunately, fornication is no more seen as a sin among Christians, no wonder, adultery too has come to mean nothing!
If the Creator saw it as impossible to hold one's sexual urges till marriage, He won't say fornication is a sin.

People who have reasons not to honor marriage before getting 'married' will also have plenty of reasons not to honor it after marriage.

If the person you want is the one who don't put premium on your marriage now, don't query him or her when she or he goes gaga after tying the nuptial knot.

Anyone, who don't have respect for God and His word can never have true respect for small you, don't rate yourself too highly. If he or she can 'bullshit' God, you are too small for him or her to mess up big time.
We don't need to become animals that God hasn't made us...we are made in God's image, we don't have to make ourselves less by 'choice'

Meanwhile, you get whatever you ask for. If you ask for a guy or gal who sees marriage more than the wedding, who believes in the honor of the marital bed...who will remain true...God will give you...

God will also give you your type.  If you want to be randy, jumping from one bed to another like a he-goat...you should expect a dog too as partner.

Whoever wont mind sleeping with you before marriage will sleep with some others under some other excuses.

When we stop seeing keeping virginity as a virtue, we lose virtue in every other area. Corruption becomes the order. We steal other people's belongings, we drive not minding other drivers, we steal government moneys because the brains have been told that nothing belongs to nobody and you can have anything if you want it, not minding who it rightly belongs to...the society becomes free for all, we throw order and decorum to the winds...

That lady, that man belongs to somebody, just like everything you see belongs to somebody...even if you don't see the owner standing by it. God made things for different people, and put boundaries to nations...Acts 17. (Your body too doesn't belong to you but to God, given to the wife or husband you'll marry)

Yet, You can't tell who your wife or husband is until you marry and even if God told you who that is...you just have to wait because you aren't only dealing with God, the perfect, you are dealing with people too...

When we develop this sense of ownership, that things were ordained for individuals and we don't own it all...we evolve mentally from the animal mentality of the survival of the fittest where everyone scrambles for more than what belongs to him or her...not minding if any other suffers or loses his or her valuables to you.

When marriage loses it's value in a society, as it is gradually becoming, you will begin to see that same mentality spreading to other areas...where morality is sacrificed for selfish pursuits and self interest...that's why a nation as mighty as the US will still have people, citizens picking from the bins to eat...the strong have it all, (the gold, the girls and the glory)...the weak has nothing and the strong sees nothing wrong about that...it is the survival of the fittest, the runts die, the animal instincts awakens within man, and predator mentality becomes king...the spirit of Cain gains where people don't mind having what belongs to others...you don't mind your brother's wife...who cares? After all they aren't married yet...
Base and ignoble thinking and mentality...no wonder, honor is nothing anymore!

Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefied, but adulterers and whoremongers God will judge.... (Hebrews 13)

Good Morning"

It is understandable that the world is antiChrist and friendship with the world is enmity with God but if the world is doomed, the church, that's meant to be the salt and the light of the world, the ground and the pillar of the truth must remain standing with what's true and right at all cost.

And it is possible, through faith in the grace that is in our Lord Jesus Christ...and if we won't stop preaching that grace that empowers against worldliness, faith in it will come by hearing the word and the power of God will answer to that faith to make it manifest.

Let's uphold the truth!
