A Charge on a Sunday Morning

So you are up already preparing to go to church as usual. It is a routine, isn't it. What we do Sunday mornings. Have you ever asked why? Do you ever ask what results it brings into your life and existence?

What do you do in church? Good music, meeting with friends and family, meeting business colleagues for fresh opportunities, or some sort of motivations for the coming week's rat race, some exciting preaching and sometimes some mental exercises?

When you miss the purpose of anything, you abuse it and so you can do without it. But when you understand the purpose, it becomes almost compulsory till the purpose is achieved!

Our gathering together in the name of Jesus is to move us away from false humanity to genuine divinity! From mere religion to deep spirituality, from the weaknesses of man to the grace and strength of God, from carnality, fleshly and selfish living to spiritual, sacrificial and qualitative living!

If going to church isn't making you more godly, more spiritual, more in tune with your inner man, more in line with God, more understanding towards Christ and His word and more dependent on Christ through the toughness of this present life and seeing His relevance in your world daily...you might need to review that aspect of your busyness!

Maybe your church isn't being a Christ proposed church....
Maybe you are disconnected from what's happening in church beyond the carnality going on at the fringes...
Maybe you aren't in a church that speaks your language...
Maybe your heart isn't yearning and seeking for God ab initio...

These and other points may be of help in reviewing your church going experience...

Church doesn't have to be comfortable, sweet and exciting to you...those aren't the primary reasons for church... but it has to practically affect your day to day living, relationships with men and with God and create a spirituality in you beyond mere observation of rituals and rites...

So, do the review and stop being mere church statistics to being a lively stone taking your place in the spiritual building inhabited by God offering quality praise to God and submitting to the Lordship of Christ, doing the will of God and enjoying His Kingdom of love!

Happy Sunday!
