Building Great Faith

Building Great Faith

The adjectives used to qualify faith often make us want to grade faith. Great faith, strong faith, little faith, ever increasing faith, no faith and so on. We interpret that in the light of what each grade can produce. We say things like great faith will give us more 'result' than little faith will. And we conclude that if one's faith hasn't gotten him a bicycle, such shouldn't apply the faith to getting a car. But in studying the subject of God kind of faith closely, we'll find that it's not exactly that straightforward.

Every exploit of faith is done by the mustard seed faith. Jesus said [My Offline Bible] Matthew 17
19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? 20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Though we see the grain of mustard seed as small, yet it is the producer of the greatest and the strongest of faith, the biggest of trees rest in that smallest of size grain.

Little faith and no faith are not different. They both didn't produce. On the sea, with the great storm, Jesus slept in the hinder part of the ship and the disciples worried if He didn't care if they perished, Jesus rebuked the storm and queried why they had no faith. Mark 4:40

In Matthew 6,Jesus referred to little faith as that which takes thoughts about what to eat, drink and put on not considering the birds of the air and the lilies of the field being fed and clothed by the Father.

These two 'kinds' of faith 'grades' don't produce anything. Little faith and no faith are same. To consider graduation, we'll expect little faith to at least produce something.

But in Mark 5, we saw the woman with the issue of blood 12 years pressing through the crowd to touch the clothes of Jesus to be healed having heard about Jesus and the power that flowed through His clothes. Jesus reviewed that her faith had made her whole.

Hers may look small compared to the man who said Jesus should speak the word only and his servant shall be made whole, whose faith Jesus called great, never seen in Israel, but her faith even if not that great got her healing. She didn't get a partial healing but perfect healing. Her faith, not referred to as great still produced her perfect healing. Great or not so great faith will still produce whatever the will of God is when demanded!

Faith gets God's power moving to do His will and gets our needs met, either great or small if we get it right!

Where then lies the difference?

Great faith would not need to touch or be touched, it wouldn't need any extensions of physical materials (clothes, water, oil, or any such things or deeds) that may not always be there due to physical limitations or may be manipulated by satanic forces. Great faith rides on the authority of the spoken word of faith.

[My Offline Bible] Matthew 8
8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. 9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. 10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

Great faith understands the limitlessness of the power and the authority of God and His Word. A power not hindered by whatever physical barriers. It doesn't consider physical rights of religion. The two instances where Jesus Christ used the word 'great' to qualify faith involved people who weren't even Jews! Both of them didn't need Him being physically present, in fact the centurion felt he was not worthy to have him physically present but knew that His words and authority were good enough!

[My Offline Bible] Matthew 15
22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. 23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. 24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. 26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs. 27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. 28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

And that is the same lesson Jesus taught us  in Thomas' unbelieving case.

[My Offline Bible] John 20
29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Great faith takes God at his word. It is not possible to limit it by anything so long the word of God and His authority are present.

Yes, if we touch the hem of His garment by faith we'll be made whole, but that's if we are able to reach the hem. Many would want to touch the anointed man of God, many would want hands laid on them, many would want to use materials from the anointed of God without success until the anointed and materials coming from him become the object of faith and worship....and so they lose their faith in God and in His word...

While that works, and we should enjoy it when available, we may limit our faith to the limits of the availability of the man or woman of God and to the availability of the physical materials. It is also possible that diabolism and demonic manipulations get into these things.

But the word of God and His authority reaches everywhere without barriers. Upon that, great faith is built awakening the power of God to produce the will of God in us even when what we need and ask for looks much larger than what 'our faith' can carry!

If what you need is a brand new car within God's will, once you have the word and God's authority for it, even if you have never believed God for a toy car before, God still expects you to receive the brand new car by faith and He will honor that faith and the glory will be to Him. Why would you ask for a bike that's not in God's will for you just because of some graduation of faith? If you don't have need for healing of 'small' headache but for healing of 'mighty' cancer, once you have the word of His authority for it, your great faith will make you whole without a need to exercise 'faith' for healing headache first!

If we take heed to limiting words, they also limit our faith. [My Offline Bible] Mark 4
24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.

The woman with the issue of blood heard about power flow by touch and the press could have stopped her, the centurion considered the extent of the authority of God's word and didn't have to wait!

Great faith removes every limitation of space, time, status or religion...it breaks the barriers of human manipulation and delivers God's will and greater blessings!

It is built on the simplicity of God's word and His authority! Go for it!

Good morning, have a blessed weekend!

Faith for Destiny Success

Faith for Destiny Success

[My Offline Bible] 1 Corinthians 15
10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

Faith is our convictions in God's word that motivates us to rely totally on Him to fulfill purpose and so become the exact thing He planned for us to be.

Apostle Paul said, 'I am what I am by the grace of God'. He knew who he was before meeting Christ and he could tell the difference after many years of walking with Him.

What difference exactly? Definitely, he didn't become richer neither did he become more acceptable in his society. In fact, he became the hunted and was consistently arrested to be killed, he was beaten and stoned many times, having lost the physical and religious status and authority he used to wield.

In Philippians 3, he gave his profile listing his accomplishments both by birth and by personal achievements, academics and others, but all, he had counted as dung for the excellence of knowing Christ Jesus.

But the grace of God has been sufficient in place of his weaknesses. He testified of his personal crucifixion with Christ so that he could live the life of faith, Galatians 2:20

But what kind of success was he celebrating speaking of who he had become by grace in 1Corithians 15:10?

He was celebrating the success of his divine destiny! A success he achieved by grace through faith. He discovered his destiny in Christ Jesus as one called and separated from his mother's womb to preach the gospel of Christ Romans 1:1, Galatians 1:15. But between his birth and the day he met Christ on the road to Damascus, he grew up and was trained in the Jewish religion and became a major persecutor of the same faith he was created to champion! He traveled directly against the path of his divine destiny!

He had influence and was affluent, which is what we celebrate as success today. But these are things for our sustenance and not a show of our destiny success and fulfilment. Being able to win bread and enjoy life isn't the reason we were planted here. These things are to fertilize us to bring forth fruits.  Fruit trees aren't planted just to be fertilized and to become big but to bring forth fruits for others to eat and enjoy its shade. What a tree enjoys isn't a sign of its success, the sign of a tree's success is in the fruits it bears. No tree eats it's own fruits! We eat to live, we don't live to eat and we only eat to have strength to fulfill purpose!

True success is destiny related. Apostle Paul discovered destiny and pursued it  by faith and he was able to say he became the success he was by the grace of God and eventually testified how he had fought the fight of faith and he finished the race with a crown waiting for him with Christ! That's success!

But how did he get there? He got there by faith!
He believed in his divine purpose! We also must believe in the purpose of God for our lives. We love to rate certain professions higher than others and we do everything to avoid others and be part of such vocations even when it's out of course with our divine destinies. Each of us has a reason and a fruit to bear for God and man and we must discover it and pursue it, fulfilling that is success. We must believe in God's purposes for our lives.

He believed in God's plan for his life, we too should believe in God's plan for our lives. We won't know the full details but we must be convinced of its existence and efficacy. We must believe God is working it out as things unfold in our lives daily. Everything is working together for us because we love God and are called according to His purpose. Ephesians 2:10

He believed in his potentials and the gifts of grace given him. We too must believe in those gifts and endowment God has deposited in us. It's a basic phenomenon that we normally appreciate the gifts of others when they'd put it to work than those we have. And many times we leave ours to go learn others we see being used well by others. But if we are to follow God's plan for our lives towards bringing forth expected fruits and fulfilling divine purpose, we must discover, develop and engage the gifts of grace God has graciously deposited in us. Paul said, he labored with the grace of God to become what he became!

He believed in his passions. Someone said, our assignment is related to the things we want changed the most. The areas of our anger is a pointer to the things that will bring us personal fulfilment and that's part of divine wiring in us for purpose fulfilment. Don't douse that fire. The things that interest you may not be a serious matter to people around you but those are the areas you'll eventually become an innovator, there is a fruit God is sending to the world through you in that area. Believe in your passion. Passion helps us to go through whatever troubles or sufferings on the path of our pursuit of purpose!

Paul believed in his grace motivated efforts. When out efforts are grace based and pushed by the passion to fulfill purpose we must believe in its power to produce much more than we even expect. There is a blessing in it. Yes, we can say whatever our hands find to do we must do well, that's expected but a time comes in the seasons of life when you can't just do all you can do, you'll have to do what God has equipped you to do with the equipment He has given you to achieve His purpose! Of course, it won't produce the fruit the very first day, but the work of faith will require patience and endurance. It'll require passion to keep pressing through all manners of failures and disappointments till the goal is achieved.

This is how we believe for our destiny success. God already has this plan laid out and if we'll believe and walk by faith through it, we'll have same testimonies like Paul!

[My Offline Bible] 2 Timothy 4
7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Good day to you!

What are the Enemies of our Faith in God?

What are the Enemies of our Faith in God?

We saw the opposite of faith as being our dependence on the arms of flesh, ours or of others instead of total dependence on God and  laboring with His gifts and grace. We aren't supposed to attain God's will and obtain His promises any other way aside through dependence on Him.

And when our faith is on cruise control or autopilot and we feel we, God and His promises are already on same momentum and we are on a clean and clear home run, certain things rear their heads to disrupt the flow.

They come so naturally that they look quite normal but once they get into the flow they scuttle the process and cut off from the process of receiving.

Their ultimate aim is to make one become numb to spiritual activities and possibilities as they form habits and culture of unbelief, fear and double mindedness in a person.

Faith in God is a spiritual and supernatural phenomenon. It rides on the fuel of man's spiritual sensitivity. Everyone has the capacity to have and walk in faith towards God. It's the medium of relating and communicating with the spirit realm where our physical senses can't reach. And there lays the problem. The reluctance to explore beyond the five physical senses locks man within the reach of his senses.

The extent of man's response to external stimuli no matter how wide and large remains in the physical realm. No amount of travel in space and in time will bring man to the frontiers of the spirit realm. When we explore to the ends of the universe, we'll only see that it'll expand the more...the spirit realm is hidden to the senses and it'll keep expanding to keep the natural man within his senses. And that's the opposite of faith we saw earlier, man's effort can't reach God without God. The opposite of faith is man's effort to reach the spiritual realm and engage in its activities to his benefit!

The enemy of faith therefore is what the physical and natural presents in contrast to what God and the spiritual realm present. The enemy of faith in God manifests in the contradictions of the physical impossibilities to supernatural possibilities.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. We can say He created the realms of the physical and that of the spirit. Adam existed in both in real time, he could hear God walking in the garden even after his fall. He could speak with God mouth to mouth. He had spiritual sensitivity naturally. I'm sure he lost that real time spiritual sensitivity when he finally left the garden. We know he became essentially physical after eating that fruit, he wasn't naked before the fall, his body was his cloth, but after the fall the body became his real person in need of a covering.

God rules both realms with laws and principles. Natural laws are different from spiritual laws. After spending so much time in the physical realm, we tend to think the same laws apply in the spiritual and so we judge spiritual things by physical laws and in so doing jeopardize our faith.

The enemy of our faith is making decisions and taking steps according to physical laws in things that have spiritual implications.

The enemy of our faith is savoring things of the physical in the place of things of the Spirit, Matthew 16:23.

The realm of the spirit is superior to that of the physical. The physical is already corrupt and decaying and so is said to be temporal while spiritual things are eternal. The reality is in the spiritual, the physical is a facade. In the physical the laws that operate puts limitations on man to his advantage. The law of gravity helps us to stabilize on the earth but limits us from flying or hanging in space. But we may get to a point where we'll need to walk on water like Jesus needed to save His disciples, the laws of the spiritual will need to step in to suspend the laws of the physical to get the will of God's love for His children accomplished.

But Peter needed to be sure of certain things and Jesus too was willing to teach us faith, so Peter asked Jesus to ask Him to come and walk on water. He wouldn't try without being asked to. That's a spiritual law because it is the power of God's word that upholds things. But after he had taken the step based on the word, he stepped out of the spiritual law back into the physical, he started considering the boisterous winds and the suspended law of gravity came back on, he began to sink! Matthew 14:22-32

God's desire is that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. The way is to ride on spiritual laws of faith. The major enemy to doing that is walking by contradictory evidences to our steps of faith.

Apostle Paul said we walk by faith and not by sight. We look not at the things which are seen but at the things which aren't seen. Abraham refused to bring into consideration the deadness of his body or that of Sarah's womb. These were the trials he had to fight. They are called the trials of faith. They show up as soon as we decide to walk by faith but they also make our faith precious and valuable. What's the value of faith that isn't tried? 2 Corinthians 5:7, 2 Corinthians 4:17&18, Romans 4:17-21, 1Peter 1:7

But these enemies of our faith are not part of the equation that would provide success. Their plan is to rob us of God's best through alternative considerations, double mindedness that's called doubt. They want you to see how unreasonable the spiritual walk of faith is, they'll hammer on how the laws of physical don't permit the process.

This is where Satan being a liar situates his operational headquarters. He will tell all manners of lies. He wouldn't mind covering the lies in religious overcoats. He will hammer the reality of natural laws into your ears. He will deny the supernatural existence and essence. His goal is to cut one off from living the full life and accomplishing divine destiny.

I'm not talking about spiritually unreasonable imaginations of superstitions and spiritism that aren't based on God's purposes and principles used by religion to gag and control people with fear, but true spirituality that is based on God's word, the truth in Christ and the example Jesus Christ lived for us to follow.

The winds of doubt, unbelief, impatience and fear brought our way by happenings, situations and circumstances contrary to God's promises we are banking on by faith are the enemies of our faith we speak of here.

They are there to shift our sensitivity from the spiritual to the physical and bring us into the limitations of the physical instead of the possibilities of the spiritual realms of God.

They are there to shift our attention from the power of God to the powers of Satan to rob us of God's blessings. They are there to make us magnify impossibilities of the natural and to cover the omnipotence of God.

You can't stop them from coming but they won't hurt you if you ignore them while holding on to the faithfulness of Him whom you have believed who also will do it!

Learn not to be distracted by them. Learn to focus in spite of them. When they come, use their emergence to check again on the word of God's promises you are standing on. Let their coming remind you of who God is, His love, His good plan for you, His power and omnipotence and His faithfulness to do what He has promised. When they come visiting, you revisit the scriptures and instead of them stealing your faith away, you'll strengthen your faith in God the more!

Good Morning!

What's the Opposite of Faith?

What's the Opposite of Faith?

We often say fear is the opposite of faith, but it's not directly so. Fear maybe the opposite of boldness or confidence, it won't be the opposite of faith until the confidence that drove away fear is rooted in our dependence on God.

Boldness and confidence will drive away fear, yet that doesn't mean faith will be present. Lack of fear isn't equal to the presence of faith in God.

Faith is the confidence we have in God as we depend on Him through His word. It is the relationship we develop with Him in response to our knowledge of His love, plan, power and faithfulness. Faith isn't an absence of fear though with faith fear won't be in control.

Confidence can be in the arm of flesh, yours or of another. Confidence and trust may be in money or in wealth and with that fear may not be near even when failure and shame are near remember the parable of Jesus Christ of the rich fool. That you don't feel fear doesn't mean you are safe.

Lack of fear doesn't mean danger is not near. One may just be ignorant of the presence of danger. Confidence maybe out of foolishness, the inability to discern the facts on ground properly in order to take an informed position on issues.

The opposite of faith is also the opposite of confidence in God because faith in God is also confidence in God. Confidence in other things towards achieving the will of God is the opposite of confidence in God to attain His will.

Wanting to attain salvation through ones ability, wanting to expend one's perceived wisdom, power, fame, smartness, efforts or any other means to achieve divine expectations or personal success is the opposite of faith in God.

Laboring outside of God's grace towards attaining God's pleasure or personal goals is the opposite of faith.

Fear then can be an attraction to faith. When we face danger and are frightened we hear from God's Spirit, fear not I am here!

Faith makes us call out to God when we are afraid. Fear leaves when God steps in. That should be the way we deal with our fears.

Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved! The question is why do I need to call upon the name of the Lord? If I don't have the sense of danger that manifests through fear, I won't call.

The disciples of Jesus were in the ship while Jesus stayed back and a storm arose. They were afraid and that danger called upon Jesus and He had to walk on water to go meet them to help them.

Are you afraid of perceived danger? Let your fear be the motivation for your faith. Let your faith call out towards God for salvation and you shall be saved!

Let your fear make you know that you don't have what it takes to handle the situation. Let your fear bring you to realize that God is good and powerful enough to help you. Let your fear drive you to God who can save and supply every need. Let your fear instruct you not to trust in your own arm or in any other arm of man, let your fear push you to depend totally on God. Let your fear make you know that you are safe in God's hands.

So fear that confidence in your own strength or in the promises of man. That's where real danger is. We can of ourselves do nothing. We can only do all things through the strength Christ gives. We can't trust our own wisdom, we should be afraid when we do, but we can trust in the wisdom of God. The arm of flesh will fail! We can't trust in our own goodness, that's why Jesus said none is good except God, we can only trust in the goodness God does through us. We can't trust in our own righteousness, it's all like a smelling rag before God, but we can trust in God's gift of righteousness to help us please God. We can't trust in our givings to get God's blessings, what can we give that'll be enough to receive divine approval to grant us even our breathe for a minute? But we can trust in the sacrifice God made of His Son on our behalf to bring us eternal salvation and redemption from the power of the dark Kingdom!

It is not of works, lest any man should boast!

When we are weak, let's turn to God's strength!
When we can do nothing, let's turn to Him who can do all things!

Let's rely totally on Him and when we have to labor as we'll always need to do, let's labor with His grace...and not with the arms of flesh!
We can't say we are in faith towards God when all we do is trust in ourselves and in other imperfect, powerless and unfaithful men!

The opposite of faith in God is faith in self!

Good Morning!

The Pillars of Faith in God 4

The Pillars of Faith in God 4

We have seen how our Faith is hoisted and sustained by the knowledge of His love for us, His will, plan or predestination that came out of His love and His working power, wisdom, resources and all He created to actualize His plan for us and from there we can go on to the fourth pillar that we need for a successful walk with Him in faith.

You can have a man love you enough to make certain plan for you with the ability to accomplish that plan, what you may not be sure of is if he will do it without disappointing you!

I doubt if there's anyone reading this who hasn't experienced that. The scriptures rightly puts it as 'vain is the help of man'.

It speaks of integrity. It speaks of being able to swear to ones hurt and not to change. It speaks of being consistent in words and in deed. It speaks of matching words with deeds. It speaks of being true to expectations. It speaks of being able not to disappoint. It speaks of matching ability with action. It speaks of translating potentials to performance.

It is called faithfulness. It is called being trustworthy. It is the highest honor and nobility. It is the ultimate sign of self pride, maturity and strength!

When a promise comes from one without the ability to perform you don't bother, it'll be a surprise if it happens. If a servant makes a promise without consulting his master, it'll be foolish to hold him to perform. But when someone who has the potentials, build with it the strength of character to deliver every time it is demanded under required conditions makes a promise, you can bank on it. That's faithfulness!

God's faithfulness is the fourth pillar of our faith in God. The fact that He is the same yesterday, today and forever gives the confidence that He won't disappoint.
Confidence in an unfaithful man is like a broken tooth and a feet out of joint. But when you plan with a faithful man, you are safe and secure. God is faithful.

He will always do what He says He will do. He won't fail. He may not do in the way you expect but He will do it. That's why the worries you had yesterday disappeared and you don't even know how. We shouldn't think of how, He has a billion and one ways of accomplishing same thing.

He is faithful, He can't deny Himself. He can't be different from who He has always being. He made the sun that rises everyday, the sun He made can't be more consistent that He. He made the seasons and the times that never fail, He can't be less faithful.

Jeremiah looked at Him and said

[My Offline Bible] Lamentations 3
22 It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Those things that He had set in synchronized motion tell us of His faithfulness. If His mercies are new every morning, that means He waits for us to receive our prayers every morning, no wonder Jesus taught us to claim our daily allocations in prayer because He won't fail.

He is faithful, He won't permit a situation that's beyond what we can bear. He is faithful, He can't deny Himself, He is faithful who has called you, He will perfect the call, He will do all that the call requires. He is faithful, He will establish and keep us from evil! 1Cor 10:13, 1Thessalonians 5:24, 2Thessalonians 3:3, 2 Timothy 2:13

We therefore hold tightly the profession of what we believe because He is faithful who promised. Sarah counted Him faithful who promised and received a child in her old age. Hebrews 11:11.

Here is a Father who wanted to make a promise and wouldn't mind making an oath and swearing by Himself when He has no one greater to swear by just to prove His faithfulness to do what He promised.

Yet, ordinarily no one can punish Him if He reneges on His word, it's only that His love won't let Him. He is not a man that He would lie or change His word. He is God He can't lie.

[My Offline Bible] Numbers 23
19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

He is a faithful Creator who won't lie. He is a faithful judge who has no respect of persons. He is a faithful Father, who won't shack in His responsibilities. He can't act differently from His person. He never disappoints.

You shouldn't trust a person beyond his or her consistent character. The testimonies of people who have had encounters with the person on a consistent basis show what the person would most probably do under same circumstances. That's why we can trust God.

If you are going through any kind of suffering for doing good, hand over your life and destiny to the faithful Creator! His good purpose shall find you out!

[My Offline Bible] 1 Peter 4
19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

And if you are suffering due to a sin or an error, He is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse from all unrighteousness...

[My Offline Bible] 1 John 1
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

When we judge God to be faithful and that His plans for our lives have good and sincere intentions behind them, our Faith in God become stronger and we set up a solid ground for His intervention in our lives.

Don't forget, He who began a good work in you is also faithful to complete it...Phil 1:6

Now, let's remind ourselves these

1. God loves us
2. He therefore has a great plan for us
3. He has enough power, wisdom and all necessary resources to work the plan out..and
4. He is Faithful and trustworthy...

Whenever you have someone with these qualities in their perfect form, you need not doubt... Faith rises automatically and impossible things become easy...

Whenever you feel like giving up on God and doubt start beclouding your eyes of faith through negative situations, remember these four pillars and you'll see your faith rising again. He loves you with everlasting love, He has an eternal plan for your life, He is omnipotent and omniscient, nothing in His will for you is impossible and He is faithful.

These make us able to walk by faith and not by sight! No matter what we see or feel!

God bless you!

The Pillars of Faith in God 3

The Pillars of Faith in God 3

We have seen how love is the fundamental basis of our Faith in God and how it gave birth to God's will, plan and predestination for us. And how that understanding automatically strengthens our faith in God irrespective of contradictory situations life presents to us.

In that same stride we can see the fourth pillar of our faith in God: The abilities of God!

This is that pillar of our faith in God that encompasses the recognition of all that God can do to bring His will to pass. This recognizes the grace and the gifts of God given us as equipment. It recognizes the omnipotence and His omnipresence. It recognizes His wisdom and all the possessions He has created for Himself which are within His reach to bring His will to pass in a person, a people, a place, a prevalence and in a period of time.

It's easy to find someone who loves you and desires good for you but not many have what it takes to bring their desires for you to pass.

The impotence of man in being able to express his love to his loved ones in practical terms is a major life's frustrating phenomenon.
[My Offline Bible] Psalms 49
6 They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches; 7 None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:

With men lots of necessary things are impossible but not with God, with God all things are possible. [My Offline Bible] Mark 10
27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

There's no plan, no matter how lofty, which God has concerning anyone or anything that God doesn't have power, wisdom or people to bring to pass. That's why God need not consult us before He concludes on His will or destiny for us.

He equipped us to do what we have to do to attain destiny and also has in store all He'll need to do His part to bring His will concerning us to fulfilment.

Though eyes may not have seen, nor ear heard nor has the mind conceived what He has prepared for us, yet He got installed in us a working power to do exceedingly above all we can ask or think. 1Cor 2:9/Ephesians 3:20

Jesus Christ indicated that God won't start a project He doesn't have all that'll be needed on ground already. Luke 14:28-32
He wouldn't have started the journey to Canaan if He didn't have what it'll take to bring them into the land.

God doesn't have after thoughts, He preplanned His actions with allowances for whatever man or Satan could bring up in the process.

For each of our destinies, God has all the resources necessary to bring the vision to pass. In the building of the tabernacle in the wilderness, He knew what He wanted and also made sure He had wise people who didn't just have what was needed but also had the wisdom and willingness to give. The result was that they had more than was needed even with the offerings being a freewill offering.

When God is in it, no need to use satanic tactics to do what God desires.

The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell within it... Psalm 24:1. All these things were made for His pleasure and His will for you and I are His pleasure. He will use anything to bring His will to pass. They all belong to Him.

Not only does God have all what it takes to bring His will for us to pass, He also will work out His part in bringing that purpose and plan to pass.

With the power working in us, He'll do beyond all we can ask or think to fulfill His will in us. With the Holy Spirit leading mostly unconsciously, our steps are ordered sometimes beyond our intelligence and ability to make correct choices to bring His will to pass.

When we submit to the winds of the Holy Spirit, He carries us upon eagle's wings to the place prepared for us. Many times, we have to force ourselves out of God's leading through unbelief, doubt, impatience, lusts and lack of self control. He creates serendipity on our paths to bring us to the promised land.

Yes, we face oppositions on the way to destiny but the power, wisdom, resources both human and otherwise made ready took cognizance of the difficulties and the opposing giants on the way before we ever met them. Whenever we meet them we should always remember that they were in God's foreknowledge and He had taken care of them before they showed up, no need to worry!

Yes, we make mistakes too, by following our own plans, making wrong decisions, taking wrong steps as we hustle to bring God's plan to pass by our own power, walking in ignorance, walking in lack of understanding or in whatever way out of so many options of error daily, yet God makes all these work together for our good as we return to Him in recognition of our errors and in repentance towards His will. Romans 8:28.

Since time is in His hands, He possesses eternity past, present and in posterity, He can redeem time lost and restore the years eaten up by cankerworms, locusts and caterpillars. Our past mistakes are not strong enough to stop His workings... Joel 2:25

Because when we turn to the Lord in submission to His lordship over our destinies, He works it out beyond our wildest imaginations irrespective of what opportunities we thought we had lost due to personal errors.

[My Offline Bible] Ephesians 1
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

He works all things after the counsel of His will and we have a right of inheritance to that phenomenon being so predestined. He works out His purpose according to the counsel of His will! He is working things out in your life to be conformed to all that He died for! To be conformed to Jesus Christ, who is both the wisdom of God and the power of God... 1Corinthians 1:24

And that's why we were prayed for in Hebrews 13 this way...

[My Offline Bible] Hebrews 13
20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

And this prayer every believer needs to pray often. That God will supply all we'll need to do His will as He works in us that which is well pleasing in His own sight.

He has all the wisdom and power to make it happen in every situation!

When we have this knowledge and understanding, our faith becomes strong. Our faith rises once we know what the will of God is, knowing He has resources in store to bring it to pass and that He will work it out!

He loves us, He made plans for us and He is executing that will to our benefits! Hallelujah!

So as I do my part, laboring with God's grace and gifts, I take my rest in faith knowing that He is working out His original plan for me in every area of my life, family and ministry without any opposition strong enough to stop it! I see myself standing perfect and complete in all the will of God! Hallelujah!

This is the third of the four pillars of our Faith in God, I hope they are strengthening our Faith... Watch this space for the fourth!

Have a great weekend! Good morning!

The Pillars of Faith in God 2

The Pillars of Faith in God 2

Earlier on, we saw how God is love, in our quest to identify the pillars of our Faith in God. God's love for us is key to being able to believe, trust and rely on Him for what He can do for us even if impossible to man.

In that same stride, we can deduce what the second pillar is. One question that can help us understand that is, why did God decide to save mankind after the fall at Eden? According to the accord, the rule was that the day man ate the fruit, he would surely die. There was no option for his resurrection in the original deal. But we see that God introduced a continuation of the story in Genesis 3:15 giving man hope that a certain seed of the woman will bruise the head of the serpent as the serpent bruises his heel. Now that wasn't part of the original deal!

The love of God for man had introduced a plan of redemption and reconciliation. The love of God wouldn't leave man in that deplorable state without an intervention plan.

The second pillar of Faith is in God's plan and His will for you and I. Everyone who believes in God is limited by his or her perspective of God's will for him or her. Man loves to see God's will as ambiguous. Something you can't count on. To many it is something that will often not have respect for your own desires, mostly something often directly contradictory to your well being and so can't be trusted.

But when we realize that God's will is a result of God's eternal and unconditional love for us then we can begin to have a spiritual understanding of God's will.

The will of God being His eternal decisions concerning a people, a person, a place and a period of time came to necessity by the motivation of His love. It was His love that constrained Him beyond His being Judge to offer man a lifeline of mercy and grace through Christ Jesus for man's salvation.

His will for us is guarded by love. Love thinks no evil. Love works no evil to his neighbor. Romans 13:10, 1Corinthians 13:5.

The purpose of God is as a result of God's love. His plans are to our ultimate benefits. Evil isn't part of His plan for us. His plan is to save us to whatever extent on the word. Hebrews 7:15.

Some believe that whatever happens is God's plan. Nothing can be further from the truth. It is one of the lies of Satan to cover up his acts by discrediting God. If it is evil, it's not God. Satan is the thief who come to steal, kill and to destroy John 10:10, Jesus is the revelation of God's will and word to give life abundantly and restore all the devil has stolen. That's the will of God.

It's not only God who has the capacity to make a will or a decision. Man has the capacity so also is the devil. It's not only the will of God that can come to pass in a person's life, Satan's plan is possible, the person's personal plan is possible and other people's plans are also possible depending on the person's choice. But God's will and plan is the original manufacturer's plan that informed the creation and the existence of the person with all his potentials and biodata.

Yet God's will isn't automatic because of our right to choose. That's why Jesus Christ taught us to pray that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
It is interesting and also instructive to know that even Jesus Christ who is one with God was tempted at Gethsemane to abandon God's will in the face of taking upon Him the sin of the whole world.

God's will may take us through the wilderness, through pains, betrayers, sufferings of all kinds due to satanic oppositions and temptations but eventually it'll eventually be conformed to express it's nature of love.
It'll eventually bring forth the glory and the beauty of God.

God's will is His pleasure. It is what pleases His love nature. It is the child of His eternal love that seeks the best for those who receive it.

Jesus Christ is the expression of His love and passion. He is the expression of His will. He is the example of who He planned for us to be. If you want to know God's will for your life, look at Jesus Christ. That's God's plan for you except that your own purpose isn't do die for mankind again.

[My Offline Bible] Romans 8
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

Jesus Christ is our destiny. That's the plan and the predestination of God for us. God's will is all Jesus Christ demonstrated with His power in the gospels. It is all He taught as doctrine. God's will is all He purchased for us on the cross of Calvary. God's will is our forgiveness, redemption, salvation, holiness, healing, prosperity, peace, longevity, victory, favor and everything we are offered by God's love on the cross. He exchanged His to purchase ours because He loves us!

We are His handiwork created for good works already planned and prepared.
[My Offline Bible] Ephesians 2
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

And what God has as plan for us is beyond our comprehension.

[My Offline Bible] 1 Corinthians 2
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

There is a predestination, there is a plan and there is a preparation of God born out of His passion for you already demonstrated in Christ Jesus to fulfill His good purpose in you.

So in whatever we may be going through, our knowledge and understanding of God's will and plan towards a good and glorious ending is the anchor of our Faith.

Keep it in mind that God has a plan for your life and that plan is to give you a hope and a future towards an expected end. His plan doesn't end in disaster and destruction. It is a superior plan to your own plan and whatever your own plan may have caused and cost you, His own plan will save and restore.

[My Offline Bible] Jeremiah 29
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

[My Offline Bible] Isaiah 55
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

God's plans are higher than whatever thoughts you or any man may have for you. Whatever Satan or evil men may have as plan can't stand the plan of God. Whatever you may be going through will bow to the plan of God for your life!

Do you believe in God's plan and will for you? Do you believe in God's destiny for you in spite of your present experiences? It'll help strengthen your faith in God!

Watch out for the next Pillar of our Faith in God.

Good Morning

The Pillars of Faith in God

The Pillars of Faith in God

Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Everything is speaking in different languages and in different tones. The powers that be, godly, devilish or human want to be believed. Except you believe, you can't submit and until you submit, you can't be controlled and without control, you can't become what they want. Without being under their control you can't be worked on or be manipulated. The battle in the realm of the Spirit is for the faith of man.

Yet, if man is to escape satanic and human diabolical manipulation and control, he must put his faith solidly in God. If you can trust God, humans and satanic control will be temporary, that's if it you had ever permitted it.
Faith in God sets men free from the fear of man and of the devil. Faith in God comes by hearing God's word to know who God is, what His plans are, His ability to bring the plans to pass and His faithfulness that gives assurance against disappointment. Upon these four pillars faith is built to release the potentials of God for His benefiting performance.

Who is God? In one word God is love. The uncommon love that covers offenses, loves enemies, not easily provoked, easily entreated, gives unconditionally, thinks no evil, does no evil and works the best for those who receives the love made available for all. This love describes God, it is the very fabric of His nature and person. Whatever He does is motivated by that nature of love. He loves us with an everlasting love, Jer 31:3, He so loved the world He gave His Son, and if He gave His Son, what else would He not do for us? John 3:16, Romans 8:32. While we were His enemies He died for us. He loves us so much that He made us His children 1 John 3:1.

Meanwhile, love is the greatest motivator of faith. You don't want to put your trust in someone you are not sure loves you. You don't want to expect any good thing from someone who's love for you is inconsistent. You don't want to become vulnerable to one you aren't sure would not want a revenge of some bad feelings he has concerning you. Someone who have shown you a sign of hatred, resentment, bitterness, judgment etc isn't someone you want to trust.

But to someone you are sure loves you, you may not mind him pointing a gun at you, you are sure to a large extent that such won't want to hurt you. Love works by faith, Galatians 5:6.The kisses of an enemy is deceitful while the wounds of a friend is faithful so said King Solomon.

If you can be sure of God's love for you, then your faith in Him won't shake whatever you are going through. You are sure, He's going to show up. You are sure He forgives your sin, you are sure He blesses you not because you gave Him first but because He loves you first.

When you don't have a good grasp of what His love is all about, your faith in Him too won't be as it should be, it won't be as solid and consistent as it should be to permit God do as He would want to do to bring to pass all that He created us to do and to enjoy. We need to remove those things that make us think God is less loving than He is.

Yes, God is a Father who chastises, He also is a judge who reigns in justice and judgment but both of these characteristics are motivated by His love and guarded by His grace and mercy.

One of the greatest disservice to God's love is that mentality that God doesn't give until we have given Him. Yet, this is a Father who Jesus described as One who shines His light on both the good and the bad, and gives His rain on whosoever...

God loves you unconditionally and what we do in response is to appreciate that love, submit to that love, believe in that love and strengthen your faith in Him...

Watch this space for the 3 other pillars of our faith in God and see how to make your faith as effective as possible...

Fight the Good Fight of Faith

Fight the Good Fight of Faith

[My Offline Bible] 1 Timothy 6
11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Are you going though some trials as a believer? It is normal. Yes, it is deadly and it isn't a joke and that's the more reason why you must learn the art of spiritual warfare.

The fight is a fight that needs your understanding. It is fought with knowledge. The word of God is the weapon of assault. Satan is the head of opposition. Your faith is the shield of your stronghold. We wrestle not against flesh and blood. The enemy is after your spiritual destiny of eternal life. It is a compulsory contention. You can't pretend it's not there. It is real.

But it is a fight of Faith. It is not a religious war. It is about your convictions. Satan uses lies to fight. You must know the truth and be convinced of it to fare well. Religious lies. Lies about Jesus Christ. Human wisdom. Satanic wisdom. Did God say?. That's #1 satanic assault weapon.

The truth of scriptures, rightly divided. showing what Christ has done, what He is doing, what tomorrow holds and what we should do about it daily. That's the fight.

It is fought by faith. It is fought with the knowledge of our victory in Christ. It is fought to preserve our place in the spiritual realm. It is fought by authority.

Fought by understanding our position in Christ. We are seated and enthroned with Christ in the heavenly places. We reign above sin, Satan and the worldly system. We speak God's word with the authority in the name of Jesus and we have right to be obeyed and our word complied with. Demons tremble at Jesus authority on our lips. We are people of authority. We have the right to the authority of Jesus name. We cast out demons in His name. We cast down every imagination and high thoughts that contend against the knowledge of Christ. We establish the will of God against all odds.

Satan will rant. He will rake. He will quack. He will quake. He will throw all sorts of tantrums. He will use human enemies. He will use friends. He will use the economy. He will use politics. He will use geography. He will use human authority. He will use whatever he can lay hold on. He will come like a flood. He will raise a storm. He will roar. He will use all sorts to scare, to intimidate, to embarrass. That's his tactics. But it's all lies! He knows his time is short!

He will use soft words. He will persuade. He will use what we love. Our desires. He will want us to turn stone to bread. He will use religious language to confuse us. He will open doors for us. He will create opportunities. He will open doors to trap. He will tell lying fairy tales. He will do lying wonders. He will offer the whole world and the glory thereof. He will want to lure you. He will act like an angel of light. He will pretend to be godly. It is part of the fight, don't fall for his wiles and lies. Put a knife to your neck if you are given to greed and appetite. He won't fight outside his turf. He want you on his turf with what you have always wanted, those things that make you look important to men. Don't fall for it, it's all lies!

But let the word of Christ dwell in you richly. 'It is written...'  will drive him away. Declare God's word by faith and cast him out. It is written on your lips will work like it worked on Jesus lips and Satan will give you a break!

If he comes with temptations to sin, let him know you are the righteousness of Christ and you don't live in sin. If he comes with sickness, don't forget the word of healing, by Christ's lashes you were healed. If he comes with lack, let him know you are a Kingdom seeker and a seeker of God's righteousness and so God meets your needs. If he comes with trouble let him know that Christ, your master is the Prince of peace who overcomes the tribulations of the world.

He can't scare you. He can't intimidate you. He can't harass you. Don't let him. The Holy Spirit is your war intelligence. He is the spy with the information strategic to winning the war.  We are never ignorant of the devices and maneuvers of the devil. Don't neglect the Holy Spirit.

Remember we are more than conquerors. You win.  But you must fight the fight. Fight as the scriptures says you should fight. You'll need to endure hardness. It'll harden you and you'll be strong enough to do exploits and win testimonies and trophies.

Don't be dismayed. Don't be afraid. There are more that are with us than they that are against us. We can do this. We are able to go take the mountains. If God be for us who can be against us. We can make God's will happen. We must make Christ's enemies His footstool. We have authority. We can lay hold on eternal life and make the world see God's nature in us. We can secure our divine destiny. We can!

Let's go! We can do this!

Good morning!

What the Child of God should know in that Trial

What the Child of God should know in that Trial

Every child of God should know that God loves him, (let me use 'him' since there isn't a hidden woman of the heart but the hidden man in all of us 1Peter 3:4)

He should know also that the love God as Father has for us is unlimited and untethered, it is an everlasting love in quality and in quantity.

He should know that that love took the liberty of its goodness to make plan for us both collectively and individually. God's love is the mother of His will for us. God's will isn't just a way to display His divinity or to rule over us, God's love for us motivates what He plans for each and everyone of us.

Love does no evil to his neighbor. [My Offline Bible] Romans 13
10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

God's love has great plans for us all. The kind of love that wouldn't mind dying when we were yet sinners...the love that made the plan of our salvation also has plan for us in every other area of our lives and existence.

The child of God must also know that that's where contentions also arise from. The reason for satanic attacks is not really about us but to contend with God's will for our lives.

Satan's motivation to contend against God's will in most lives is premised on his desire to have his own kingdom and rulership. Whoever's will is done is the king. So there is a fight to establish a Kingdom by enforcing the will of whoever desires to be king.

So we have this rebellion going on.

Every child of God also should know about the wiles of the devil to get his will done, he should know about the fiery darts being thrown by the dark Kingdom. The child of God should know about divers trials and temptations daily. He should know that evil is present daily as the fight rages.

So also the child of God should know that we are receiving a Kingdom which can not be shaken. [My Offline Bible] Hebrews 12
28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

He should know that we have consistent victory as won for us in Christ Jesus.

The child of God should know that our adversary, the devil going about as a roaring lion only needs to be resisted steadfastly in the faith and he will flee...he isn't as formidable as he would have us fear...

[My Offline Bible] James 4
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
[My Offline Bible] 1 Peter 5
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

If we will stand our ground in faith against him he will always flee for the will of God to be done in our lives.

The child of God need to know that these trials are common and other brethren in the world too encounter them. He should however know that the though they are common, God's faithfulness will not permit the temptations that are more than we can bear to come our way, rather He will make a way out of the troubles for us. Watch out for the way of escape!
[My Offline Bible] 1 Corinthians 10
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

The child of God should know that the shield of faith is good enough to quench every fiery arrow fired from the dark spiritual kingdom or from their agents on the earth. The child of God must have faith in his faith because it is his faith that overcomes.

[My Offline Bible] Ephesians 6
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

[My Offline Bible] 1 John 5
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

The child of God ought also to know that he wasn't given the space among God's beloved to desire or to do anything contrary to God's original plan for another and so become an agent of the dark kingdom to upturn God's will for the person.

The child of God should know that Satan and not human haters is his eternal enemy and he has been equipped to overcome him to flee by the greater one within us... [My Offline Bible] 1 John 4
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

The child of God should however stand in faith waiting patiently in the strength of grace and joy even in tribulations to bring to pass the perfection of God's will... [My Offline Bible] James 1
2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

The child of God should therefore be aware that knowing God's will through understanding of scriptures and not some superstition or cunningly devised fables that bring fear is the foundation of faith and so should remind himself of those scriptures often to avoid being confused. He must not put his faith in anything else but in the revealed word of God from the scriptures if he is to escape the arrows of hell. [My Offline Bible] 1 Timothy 1
18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare; 19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:

The child of God should know that shortly the battle will definitely come to end as God crushes the head of the evil one under our feet forever...
[My Offline Bible] Romans 16
20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Good morning child of God!

(This has been written to help equip every child of God under any kind of satanic attack with certain scriptures needed to maintain his or her stand of victory. I pray as you study and meditate on the word of God, the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in God's knowledge will reveal the truth to our hearts and inspire faith and patience to receive the promises and deliverance in Jesus name,  Amen)
You are a victor!
